Why do some girls make fun of other girls calling them sluts when they themselves have those same traits?

I have come to find in this life that women can be extraordinary vicious towards each other. you are referring to a classic situation where the pot is calling the kettle black. It makes absolutely no sense because slut shame another girl when you yourself are just as much of a slut. I think just like men have hierarchies in social groups, likewise women also do. However we just have completely different ways of establishing dominance or our place in the hierarchy. Accusing somebody of doing the exact same thing that you do isn't a tactic I see much with guys. But then again I'm sure we do things that make even less sense to them.
