Ok peeps, wanna see what you (particularly gals') have to say about what are the major signs a chick is nervous/"intimidated"/shy by/of you and how many agree that it's normally due to attraction. I'll give two examples of recent experiences. 1) First chick exhibited signs such as these; staring when I'm not looking; not paying any attention at all up close, no eye contact, nothing; when initiated convo/flirtation she'd blush real bad (kinda obvious one I suppose); not only blush but stumble on her words; would simultaneously make sure I heard about "my bf!" or how hot some guy was; when I would throw some deliberate eye contact and approach, she'd look like she wanted to run away all flustered LOL; would ask her out and locking eyes leaning into each other she'd say she can't 'cos "muh long distance bf"; despite then "rejecting" me and moving on would then come out her shell and flirt a bit; when realising she'd have to do more to get my attention would then bemoan about "muh bf" again... And so on and so forth.
2) This one I found out about actually having a boyfriend but never the less; would really flick her long dark locks around and exposing flesh in my presence without direct (if any at all) eye contact; being a little more chatty than no.1 would work more small talk and banter in whilst still seeming coy; smiling and holding eyes when in convo; being a barmaid and when not busy (and not actually talking to me) would listen in on my jokes about "doing a striptease" and burst out laughing; banging back shots with friend and would mention how she wished she was out partying over working; offered her to join and coyly smiles away looking onward/down; made more sexual flirtation and she now seems VERY nervous around me, I think this was 'cos Mr boyfriend new a guy was trying it and paid her a visit at work when I was there hehe! Also she looks down when walking past, friends stare.

What are some tell-tale signs of nervousness/attraction/hard to get?
1. I will likely stare at you form a far/"safe" distance. When you look at me I will generally look away. As I get more comfortable the distance may decrease. If I get more comfortable I will eventually be able to hold your gaze, potentially even in close range.
2. I may follow you. You may notice you always see me nearby wherever you are. This is partly me wanting to get you to notice me and partly me trying to get a guage on you. Observe you and how you interact with others, listen to you and catch little snippets about you
3. Behavior changes. I may suddenly change my makeup, hairstyle, dress, etc to try go garner attention.
4. I may suddenly start ignoring you or be unable to look you in the eye, even if I'd been staring at you for months. I haven't lost interest, for some reason I may have just gotten really nervous around you again. Its probably due to me thinking I might actually have a chance because I think that you might like me too.
5. Most likely under no circumstances will I ever approach you. If I do, consider yourself a gem, because I've only done it with one guy thus far in my life (though I want to with a second). If I do approach you it will likely be "hi" for a while until I guage responsiveness and/or build more courage. Contact may increase to general conversation that you might have with a friend. I may be able to be convinced into flirting or to a confession of liking someone if they make an obvious move (and I pretty much mean hitting me over the head obvious) that that is how they feel too. Otherwise, don't ever expect me to confess that openly unless I have a private means of doing so (like text, or FB messenger). It will never happen verbally or face to face unless I'm sure you feel the same.

Thanks for reply! I think your no.4 struck me the most (though I understand all your characteristics!) - the suddenly ignoring as you got nervous (again) thinking your in with a chance is the most damn annoying part with you gals haha! For my no.1 I think was the same, I can't get anymore obvious than literally strutting up with a chirpy smile and asking for her name and number (even though we actually know each others names haha!!), but I think it took her a while to register that I was being serious as a few months later when we met again she flirted a little. Tragic thing is it threw me off balance as I thought she weren't interested but last year or so has proven otherwise maybe =(. Take it from me, PLEASE PLEASE don't psyche yourselves out of communicating, even if just small talk! It's actually us confident guys that this throws off THE MOST - our logic is simple, we approach, if we get a "no that might be/really is a yes", we take it for face value!
It's annoying since I'm used to most girls being shy around myself, if I don't mind saying so I've been told I'm pretty handsome and keep my body in check and all the rest of it - sometimes I've had girls think I was joking in asking them out/flirting with them when I was simply interested!!! I'm confident but but don't have my head up my backside, if I like the look of a gal, I wanna be with her, she ain't "below" me! I've actually shrugged off this gal for a while now thinking it was nothing, until she heard I was messing around with other gals and got upset and sent a little (non-malicious) silly "rumour" about me...
1. The boyfriend line always works to get a girl out of a situation. If she were interested, she'd let you know. Some women become flustered/ blushed when they notice they're being ogled. It can be very uncomfortable. 2. She's a bartender. She works for tips. Need I say more... Its not very often I feel nervous or intimidated. Maybe once in the last ten years (but I'm usually in long term relationships) and I know it was quite apparent. I had a huge crush on this guy for years, and he approached me while I was working about 4 months after ending a six year relationship with my ex. I was so flustered I gave him the wrong phone number! Thank God he came back to get the correct phone number! Lol Any other man probably would have assumed I gave him the wrong number on purpose.

Yeah that's what I said to other girl who answered, guys like me generally take things on face value, so at first glance I'd agree completely that no1. used it to get out of a situation. But equally (see my other replies) this girl kept coming back. There's a whole host of things I could essay about that happened tbh! Where I am barmaids aren't working for tips, and when I make chicks blush (like this chick) is because I would pull lines like "what's a pretty girl like you doing working so late?" and other corny shit; it works hehe 👌But never the less I defo understand what your saying! Haha lucky your man came back for the right digits! Barmaids or other girls, that's generally what a guy like me has to deal with, I've had girls get all flustered thinking I was flirting/asking out for a joke when I wasn't!
1. Girl seems to be loving the attention because it gave her an ego boost.
2. Girl has a bubbly personality and maybe was hoping to get a tip.
It's difficult to judge the situation when it's in a place of work because some will flirt as a way of doing their job. They do it to keep the customer coming back!

As always, these are things that I'm aware of! All I'll say is there's a whole bunch of shit I didn't wanna essay about here so had to angle it a certain way!
