Signs of attraction?

What kind of signs and vibes do guys usually try to put out there to show a girl they are attracted or interested in them?

I know the most common and typically used ones such as: smiling, staring or gazing, eye contact. But like what about the more quiet and subtle signs that might go unnoticed?

How do guys flirt or show that they like you if they don’t want to be too obvious?

If a guy smiles and says “hi” to a girl every day is he trying to show her he might be interested in her? I’m so confused! 😩

That last one could just be him being nice. Does he try to make you laugh? Have you checked him out, and if so, how did he react?

Is he normally a show-off? But around you he dosn't have to prove anything. Or is the opposite true? Really the question is, are his interactions with you different? The biggest thing with me is getting her to smile. Being extra considerate to those around her, stuff like that. Not that I'm a dick to everybody else, I would get tired of hiding my personality if that were the case, I hope you understand what I meant.

Try stuff and watch his reactions. Maybe he's a flirt who becomes honest around you. Or the type whom ignores most people but makes a point of talking every time you meet.

The thing is, he and I will look at each other and smile and say hi every day. He’s also winked at me once before. He sometimes also acts nervous around me and when we make eye contact he will break it and look down. He also tries to play it cool when I’m around and ignore he’s talking to somebody he will stop when I am close by. He seems to be the very shy and quiet type. And I get a gut instinct that he does like me. I haven’t seen him act this way towards anyone else but me. And I think he likes when I smile back at him. I am going to build up the nerve to speak to him very soon.

If I were you I'd talk to him.
I'm dealing with a similar situation as yours, both of us are super shy, we still haven't reached the point of smiling at each other and saying hi, but we make lots of eye contacts (one of us always looks down) and sometimes I find him looking at me then he quickly looks somewhere else when I notice, I even think he makes sure to stand in places where he can see me well lol, and, when I approached him first, our -short- conversation ended up being one of the sweetest and nicest ones I've had with a guy in a whiile. I want to talk to him again so badly but I don't know what to say or ask to keep it flowing, a part of me just wants him to text me first haha. But yeah, just go for it!

@LumLum Is he well read? If you are too you'll never run out of things to talk about. I make running jokes to create a sense of closeness with people I haven't known long, but it works for conversation too. My username is based off of an off=handed comment a girl made about what the plural of "moose" should be. She argued: "goose (plural)= geese, so moose (plural) should be meese". I got way more conversation out of that than you would think. Just keep him laughing awhile and he'll start thinking of things to say.

@meesegoMoo I honeslty don't know him well yet to tell, as it's still too early I guess since we only talked once haha, but the jokes thing is a nice one, I'll remember it, thanks!. Also, I noticed when there wasn't anymore thing that could be said he used smiling emojis, which made me not know what to say as well so I was just stuck and ending up not responding afterwards (which I feel super bad about..) Plus, since we don't know each other that well maybe he also doesn't know what to say to keep it going without it being obvious/awkward/straightforward.. I don't know :c. I just want to talk to him casually like without having a reason to, and ask him stuff too to get to know him more, but I never know how to say things. My friend suggested to ask him if he could recommend a movie, but it feels too "fast" to me and we can't think of other options lol! I'm also a very hesistant person and I don't want to be awkward or cringy which makes it harder

@LumLum Have you asked him what he like to read? Or you could get him to talk about something he's good at. Don't be scared to try stuff. You could ask about religion, it seems heavy, but since many people are unsure or atheists it's often just a conversation starter "Do you celebrate chanikuh? what about ramadan? Shinto? I dunno man your hard to read.".

The greater variety of things you know about, the more topics of conversation you'll be confidant in! "Do you like sci-fi?" "Suffed crust pizza; is it great or are Italian grandmothers rolling in their grave?" Mexican food could be a conversation on it's own "flautas or chimichangas?" "Tacos or burritos?"

meesegoMoo Thank you so much, you just gave me a lot of ideas I could use or get inspiration from! I tend to forget that even the simplest things that we tend to forget about can be so much helpful for a conversation.

I can only speak for myself, but when I like a girl I’ll usually try to stand/sit as physically close to her as possible, without making her uncomfortable. I might tease her playfully about something and then nudge her or lean in to her. I may also try something like putting my arm around her, if I feel she wouldn’t react negatively to that.

When I’m with friends, I am usually never within touching distance of anyone because I’m an introvert and I get really like space. If a relatively shy guy is going out of his way to sit directly next to you and talk with you, there is probably a pretty good chance he likes you. Just my personal opinion, take it with a grain of salt.

Ask him for help, just small things at first, and if he always seems happy to help you, he probably likes you.

Then make up some reason that would mean him having to spend time alone with you for a few hours.

As for physical signs, that varies greatly from man to man, but him repeatedly taking time to help you is a massive clue.

I myself am super bad at showing girls I like them, that's why I hope that the girl makes the first move sometimes too
