Are these signs of attraction or am I deluding myself?

I don’t know if he’s into me or just nice. He seems like an outgoing person who loves to talk. Every time I notice him looking at me, he looks away swiftly. When I walk towards class, his eyes seem to follow me and linger on my body. He doesn’t smile much so I dunno, maybe I’m just imagining things.

I’m a very shy person and don’t talk a lot unless someone initiates conversation.

He also complimented my Skyrim T-shirt when we first met. Today he became my lab partner (we’re a group of 4) and I noticed that he was mimicking my actions. I like to hum when I’m really engrossed in a task and I noticed him mimic it a little later but then the other guy in my group did it too so I don’t know what to make of it….
When I cracked my knuckles, he did it too. He doesn’t talk directly to me much but he was very conversational with the other guy in our group, talking about his cool high school experiences and gaming. Some of it sounded a bit braggy too.

He knows I like gaming but I couldn’t really join them because it felt intrusive.
And as soon as the lab ended, he legit bolted out the door before I could say something.

I think he’s very cute but I don’t know if he’s into me. What do y’all think?

So far I don't see these signs as "interest", mimicking could be simply because by doing some things you "reminded" him of cracking the knuckles or that it could be relaxing to hum something.
However if this guy is shy and a gamer he might be generally awkward with showing signs of interest to a girl, mimicking sounds very childish but given the character it could be, even, a sign of interest in his awkward ways. Just it's not normally a clear sign of interest. And all guys look at bodies, just you're noticing him now in particular but if you check the others continuously you will notice the same.
Since he loves to talk and you have interests in common (gaming) you should find ways to initiate conversations with him to get more data. There might be even nothing hidden to discover at the moment, but he could develop that later while conversating more, anyway. I think many women make the mistake of thinking guys hide crushes on them and they try to discover it, while probably they're just dumb and confused and don't pay much attention to that because the interest is mild and intermittent, while being "interested" the same in any other female around. But as much interaction increases, as much they can develop interest for you in particular, sure.
So in any case conversating more will bring either more data to you if he hides something, or will anyway make him know you better and bond, then maybe get more interested later. It's the convenient thing to do in my opinion.
Is there the chance you could play the same multiplayers online? If you do, you could end up sharing this through friendship but that will be actually a way to know each other better. Nonetheless: seeing how a guy behaves when triggered or when interacting with other friends, speaks volumes about the type of person he is because he doesn't have to look cool with them, and when triggered he doesn't keep the masks on. So doing gaming in a group would be not a bad idea to check if he would be a proper mature partner as well...
