Did "karma" come back to bite me in the ass"? Or was I punished in a really bad way, so I could learn my lesson to not play with girls feelings?

A few months ago I met an amazing girl, she was pretty-sweet-educated-hard working-and really humble. We had religious differences, but she didn't care. She was willing to wait 4 years for me until we married, because i'm still in school. I felt like she loved me, but she was scared to express her feelings. She had never had a boyfriend prior to me. Her reservations lead me to distance myself and somewhat ignore her but still string her along (I would only text her occasionally after a while, because I got bored). I would go weeks without talking to her. Anyways, ...

Although we would go weeks without talking, we would eventually talk, but this last time we stopped talking she completely moved on. After a month of not talking, I found out she met another guy who is not only "handsome" but is very wealthy $$$$, some would say he's the perfect man. Rumor has it, they're getting married and want to start having kids asap.

Meanwhile, i'm still single and haven't found the one. WTF. I feel stupid for playing games.

I'm 24, she's 21, and her rumored fiance is in his 30s.
