+1 yMy only two bestfriends are both females and while they both liked me when i became friends with them both a very long time ago, neither of them like me now. I often help them in their relationships to my best knowledge and it all goes very well. One of them has been my bestfriend for nearly 8 years and we've never even dated. The other for around 3 or 4 years and we haven't dated either. Its very possible for them to not be in love with their beatfriends just as my bestfriends dont even have feelings like that for me in the slightest.

Asker+1 yI kind of like my female best friend and I wanted to know if it was a possibility
Opinion Owner+1 yAww! Yeah, it is—look for signs like purposefully touching you, holding your hand, making you stuff (especially food stuff she knows is your favorite)... but yeah, I find it’s really common.
Asker+1 yRn she has a boyfriend so it’s an oof and it’s rough
Opinion Owner+1 yOoo, yeah, that is tough... be there for her when they break up but don’t force it, ok?
Asker+1 yI’ve been doing that but she thinks her boyfriend is “the one” and they’ve been together for three months. So I’m just there as her best friend. She also gets “hurt” when I distance myself
Opinion Owner+1 yOooo, I’m sorry :( ❤️ That’s the worst... I wish you luck—feel free to pm me if you need to vent about it, ok? I am GeekyGirl16
Asker+1 yOk thanks for the help.
Opinion Owner+1 yNo problem... wishing you the best!

Asker+1 yAhh that makes sense lol because I kind of like my female best friend and we’re both 16 and 17
Asker+1 yOh lol nice
Well my female friend believes her current boyfriend, is “the one”
So I doubt it’ll happen
Asker+1 yAlthough I’m not hoping for them to break up, if it happens then I wouldn’t know what to do tbh

Asker+1 yYeah I could see why
It would be like dating a brother or something
Asker+1 yYeah true

Asker+1 ySo would it be wise to ask the girl again after she has broken up with her current boyfriend?
- +1 y
Not right after, but stay close with her
Asker+1 yThat’s true
I’ll do that
+1 yI don't think they do. Im really close friends with a girl, who will then go have sex with other guys all the time. I'm probably one of the only guys she hasn't had sex with.

Lol I know he doesn’t know how I feel but are you in love with your female best friend?
Asker+1 yIt’s a long story
- +1 y
Fair enough if you want share I don’t mind listening
Asker+1 yOk I’ll tell you. It’s a long explanation so
- +1 y
No worries I am a good listener
Asker+1 yOk, so I still kind of like my female best friend and it’s been a year now. However, she politely rejected me. And so for about a year and nine months I’ve been messed up because of her. Throughout all of this she’s been through break ups and stuff like that. Currently, she’s with a guy who treats her very well and I’m here wondering what to do now that she’s with a decent guy. Don’t get me wrong, I love having her as my best friend but it gets tough
Asker+1 yAnd so last time when we were at school she had an outburst of anger towards me and so I messaged her and she said this.
I know you told me not to be hurt but I can't help it, you're my bestfriend and even if you distanced yourself from me for your own benefit I totally understand I wasn't going to be selfish I tell you no.- +1 y
That would be really tough! It’s hard being rejected by someone you have such deep feelings for and to see them with someone else. I know this might be hard for you but maybe tell her again that your feelings haven’t changed and you feel that they won’t ever change! But do something out of this world for her before you tell her because she might realise deep down she feels the same way
Asker+1 yOnce she told me she would date me subconsciously, that was actually this past summer. I don't know if I should distance myself from her because she gets hurt since I’m her best friend
- +1 y
For now maybe that’s the best way to go to let her figure out what she wants and where she stands with you
Asker+1 yIt hurts to see her and her boyfriend everyday in the halls at school. I get the impression that she would miss me if I distanced myself again. Tomorrow I’ll talk to her see what’s up
- +1 y
That’s a very wise decision and if she doesn’t give you the answer you want just distance yourself again and let her come to you
Asker+1 yI really don’t want to lose her from my life and so time is running out Since she’s a senior and I’m a junior in high school. I’ll try to distance myself but In a more quiet way or something
- +1 y
You won’t loose her just try to be calm and a bit quieter than usual and see if she comes to you and if not you need to speak up
Asker+1 yI know she cares for me but it’s hard to see her with another man especially when there’s like three months with her. I’ll try to be quiet how you said though
