Can guys and girls be best friends?

Lets be real honest, can we ACTUALLY for real be best friends with opposite gender? I have heard a lot that, regardless, there will always one party that eventually fall in love. So i guess those who answer ‘yes’ must be the one who is being loved by rather than them loving other.

I even read before, opposite gender can only be friends (both side never fall in love) if they both find each other ‘unattractive’

What say y'all on that?

As long as there is no attraction what so ever between the both of you , then yes it’s possible but very rare , sadly to say. . It’s best to distance yourself from opposite sex friends when you enter a committed relationship with someone else , you don’t have to be enemies with them , but make it clear to them that you are now in a relationship and out of respect for my relationship , it’s best that we don’t spend a lot of time together and hang out together , if that opposite sex friend gets mad and upset with you , they were never a friend to begin with , they wanted more with you period. A true friend will support your relationship and distance themselves from you to show they understand that your priority is your partner. Your partner should do the same for you if they truly value you and respect you. I had girl friends that I just considered friends , when I met a girl that I was interested in I would tell me girl friends that I met someone , some of those girl friends understood and distance themselves from me but some of the others didn’t , and started hitting on me and telling me to not be with that girl that they would treat me better. I was like WTF? I had a choice , I choosed my partner , if you want your relationship to last and you want love to grow , you are best to choose your partner over everyone , if you can’t choose your partner over everyone , they will not choose you period. Why I don’t rush into relationships with Girls anymore , because it takes a long time to really get to know someone and to see if they are truly in it for the long haul , if my partner isn’t choosing me , I am not going to choose her period , it needs to go both ways or it will not last period

Thank you , it’s just something I have learned through the years , mainly based off of my experiences with girls’ I am far from perfect , I have made mistakes like every one else has, My thing is I could either learn from my mistakes or continue to keep making the same mistakes , I chose to learn from my mistakes and questioned myself as to why I couldn’t keep a girl by my side when I felt I am showing her love and respect , and making it clear to her that there is nobody else I want but her , not thinking i am doing anything wrong , pretty much pointing fingers at her for being the problem , not myself , until I realized her and I are both the problem we aren’t mind readers and we truly don’t know what each other’s true intentions are , so the only way i could show my love and respect to her is by removing my own selfishness and putting myself in her shoes before making decisions , Most people in general have a hard time removing selfishness for their partners , they just assume they aren’t doing anything wrong , they should trust me like I trust them and sadly to say it doesn’t work that way , just because you think something is ok , it might not be ok to your partner , so it’s best to think how your partner would feel and how you would feel if your partner was doing that to you? That’s called respect , when you learn to respect your partner it makes it easier for your partner to respect you , when there is no respect in a relationship it will not last cuz you are only thinking about what is best for you , so if you can’t sacrifice or resist temptations for
Your partner , don’t expect them to do that for you, it needs to go both ways or it’s just a waste of time, we can’t force someone to love us all we can do is respect them the same way we want to be respected in return , if they choose to walk away from you? Respect yourself and let them go , because If someone truly loves you and appreciates you, they wouldn’t be walking away period

If you are totally 100% honest with yourself same with the other person you meet each other you start hanging out you become friends it's usually the guy that wants to get into the girls pants..
Most of the time in order to do that you have to start dating her which is all good but if you become 100% honest with yourself and look at it and see how long it would last you have to weigh both sides piece of ass or friendship because the piece of ass is going to ruin everything

I have some good guy friends but I have better girls that are friends and each one of these girls that I went through this it kind of sucked at the moment but we had to be honest with each other and said look you know would you rather have a piece of ass for a couple months or 6 months or a year and then break up and not be friends anymore..
Or would you rather just suck it up and be honest with each other and say hey I like each other but you know what it wouldn't work somewhere down the road one of us would get jealous of the other one and it would ruin a good friendship so yes guys can be good friends with girls and girls can be good friends with guys it's that simple.

Yes, they can. The whole “one person will fall in love” concept is only true if one person in the friendship is deceiving the other. I’ve had many, many friendships with guys and I’ve only ever had 2 guys “fall in love with me” during our friendships. But that was their own fault, they admitted to being attracted to me and only becoming friends with me in the hopes of sleeping with me, which didn’t happen. So that’s what I mean by deceiving. If you’re joining a friendship for some motive that’s sexual or romantic based, rather than friendship based, then that’s deceiving and a waste of time. Don’t start friendships if you don’t want to be friends.

Yes, most of my friends are male. They make better friends than lovers.

Normally friendship with a woman is not worth it for a man because he's providing much more value than her. But there are always exceptions, if you are friends with a girl and there is 0 sexual attraction than for sure it's worth it.
