Normally if I were to pick out what I think is the most attractive girl in a photo, I wouldn't choose one with the most chiseled abs, but I did really fall for an acrobat one time who had those. It wasn't to the point of ab veins popping out but something close to this girl in terms of definition and mass:
fitnfemale.com/.../...erfettanteil-zu-erlangen.jpg
On top of that she had very small boobs and I was especially surprised when we first held hands since her hands were like rocks covered in calluses as a result of constantly gripping ropes and gymnastic rings for her aerial act and training. Still I came to really fall for her and her body since I started to associate her body as a reflection of her dedication and hard work towards her aerial act and I found it beautiful that way. Also watching her perform was quite amazing (back then she worked for a local circus but now performs for Cirque du Soleil).
So it's not exactly like I was ever looking for a girl with defined abs or preferred girls with them, but I was certainly capable of falling for one with abs. Normally I might prefer a little more body fat on a girl, and if she has abs, just to a modest degree like Shakira.10 Reply

+1 yNo... but then again, I'm not romantically interested in girls, so shouldn't really matter.
I simply find it a bit masculine - which may be ridiculous, because we all have them, but being a bit too ripped just looks off on women to me.20 Reply
+1 ythey're lowkey aesthetically cool but i don't find them that attractive. not majorly though it wouldn't put me off someone at all, i just would never think "wow she has abs i want to rail her" if that makes sense?

I don't like really ripped girls, there's something off putting to me about that - sexually I mean - but slight muscle is very attractive

@hsshannah96 Good for you! The girl in that pic is a babe, for real.
+1 yI prefer girls with less defined abs. I haven’t had much contact with truly ripped girls, so while I see the pictures, I haven’t had any personal experience with them. I have a girl in my cardio class that is body building, and it was weird because she was “bulking” two months ago and kind of looked fat. When I saw her last night, she was “cutting” and I hardly recognized her, she looked 5 years younger and no fat at all on her body! I was shocked at the difference. This is truly a discipline, body building, I’m so impressed that someone can control their body and muscle development so well. I wish I could be that disciplined, but my experience has been the opposite. I’m trying to reverse that, maybe I need to learn about body building.

the thing is abs are nice.. but do not go ripped and please do not have a bigger muscle structure.. like the last pics..
i mean look at the last pic.. that girls arms look like mine02 Reply- +1 y
@Tomblebee are what big..
If you are talking about arms... Then yeah..
Big arms.. ( not Abnormal) and wide thick fingers.. 😂 🤣
Soooo let me put it this way biologically woman need a higher percentage of body fat to produce babies. Men are hard wired by evolutionary progress to look for feminine characteristics to make healthy offspring, obviously we all have preferences and whatever but boobs hips and lips are all the biggest indicators of baby making ability in our little ape brains. When you lower your body fat to this level you may be triggering a response in some men that sees you as less female. We obviously want you to be fit and strong but when you lose the lovely soft edges most yearn to caress (some not all) we get a little hesitant.

+1 yOnly if they aren’t super ripped. This is too much www.irasabs.com/.../irene-anderson.jpg
But this is alright. img.aws.livestrongcdn.com/.../530756528_XS.jpg30 ReplyOn appearance alone, it is hard for me to feel an attraction towards a girl with abs; I am all for health, but based on current science, unless you are a star athlete and need that level of physical fitness for your job, having about 15% fat for females is more healthy long term.
00 ReplyI like the normal, curvy and athletic shapes. I don't like much the muscular shape on women which is far more muscled than athletic. I would like a soft abs (not something extreme) or a flat belly if it looks good on you. By the way, I like triangle and hourglass shapes.

+1 yYes. However I know myself how hard it is to get and maintain them. So I'm no hypocrite.
I'd say that if you're in good physical health it's enough.
Unless you go to the beach or pool with your date they won't notice your abs till you get them in the sheets. It's too late for them to turn back then ;)00 Reply
+1 yNo, I rather dislike muscular women. If they are bodybuilders who trade their tits in for pecs, that can be a problem, but I don't think women should take this as incentive to just never exercise or do strength training. Within reason, that stuff isn't harmful.

www.trimmedandtoned.com/.../cinderella-landolt.jpg20 ReplyHonestly, no. I kinda have a problem putting on weight (especially fat) and I like to work out, but I don't like having visible muscles, so I'm always a little concerned about it, actually. I have to disciple my diet quite a lot to be in the right amount of fat mass that I want.

+1 yWell, those without abs have trouble standing, so yeah... ;)
In general, a waist-to-hip ratio of.7-.8 looks best. Visible musculature, however (resulting from very low bodyfat) disrupts the smooth contour lines in women. Many find that unappealing.00 Reply
+1 yNot really. I think just a little is fine. Like this.

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI mean it is nice that she likes to stay in shape. And really wouldn't complain if she did have abs. But honestly if I had to choose one way or another, my answer is no. Way I see it is you need to have very little body fat to have your abs show and honestly I like the fatty parts of a woman, such as her boobs and butt. If she got abs odds are she has smaller boobs and butt then she could have. So I would rather a woman who doesn't have them if I had to choose.

+1 yOnly for looking and not having sex with her. I don't want to have sex with a guy😅😅. I like the soft and supple body of a woman.
50 ReplyNope, but girls may not agree with me, because its OK, for them to make their body look in whatever they want, only that I won't find it sexy, to be with a masculine looking girlfriend. I would say, many guys would agree that, they will avoid such girls too, which I am pretty sure, when it comes to real life relationships.

+1 yI'd appreciate the work she does to her body, and if she likes it and is happy with it, then so am I. Don't find it a must for a girl to have though, neither for guys by the way.

+1 yI don't mind a girl having abs so long as they still have a girlish figure. Cause at a certain point there is just to much muscle and it would feel like hugging a man

+1 yI won't hold anything against her, but I've always been fat. I'm strong as an ox but I have an eating disorder stemming from childhood traumas so when I see women that are so fit they have abs I respect it but it makes me feel like shit.

Nope, I love curvy women. Just something about the way they look and just can get it. Omg
- +1 y
@heatherrenee6996 well yeah obviously I prefer them, cause that's pretty much all I can get.
+1 yI wouldn't deny a date to any proportional good looking girl, but i like it more if the girl doesn't have abs. Not a really important physical feature in my opinion
00 ReplyI don't like it, I don't dislike it up to some degree (think Michelle Jenneke), that's perfectly fine, but everything beyond that isn't for me, the more it gets the less attractive.

+1 yI find soft bellies more attractive, but if a woman wants abs, who am I to say it's not beautiful?
30 ReplyYes and not really. Confused? lol. I do like a little stomach, but if she has the right attitude, then abs are just as good. Not sure how many women will have abs and be a bitch thinking she is much better than everyone cause she has them. lol

Yes. It means they are both physically fit, and that they have a strong work ethic and ability to follow through on goals. All of which are enticing in a prospective partner.

+1 yIt is ok to have athletic shape of body but not strong abs, it reminds me on guys so I get easily turned off from girls with abs.
00 ReplyYeah, it's not something I look for, but I mean it generally means she has a nice body as well and can maintain it.
00 ReplyNot on all girls. Fine line between sexy AF and a little too masculine

+1 yI like my abs. I believe guys like a girl who is fit on the stomach too
20 ReplyNo, because they are super skinny and although they obviously work out a lot I really don't think it's good for a woman to look like that.
10 ReplyI have a preference for soft women. Hard women i could like as a stimulating factor when breaking her in bed. Soft is better on a woman than hard.

Therefore YES !!!
... I only care about the skinny part. She can have or not have abs... doesn't matter to me.00 Reply
+1 yI really don't care. It's cool if she has a strong core but getting down to that body fat % just to see those abs... I could care less. As far as preference. I prefer girls that are soft and curvy.
10 ReplyNot really. I'm atyoetic, but I'm maniacally obsessed by it, and I'm not for a SheMale to constantly be bragging to me about her bench press or dead lift.

+1 yNo that shit weird and fked up woman supposed to be little but curvy n soft not rocky and hard
30 ReplyMany guys apparently don't, but I love seeing abs on a girl, or at least a toned stomach area. I can do without it though

+1 yI don't find girls that are too toned attractive. They just need a slim figure to look good. Too much muscle on them does not look all that good.
+1 yi dont really care about that sort of thing. my girlfriend likes mine though so i guess some people do
00 ReplyI do like abs on girls. I prefer a little muscle on women and it shows they take good care of themselves.
00 ReplyI might , i don't know
I find everything about female attractive. abs , belly , flat.
XD
But it has some beauty to it , every single thing of those00 ReplyNo. But there is a certain torso I like on a girl. It's when they're slim and have a vertical line going down their abs.
