Confidence when texting?

So I’ve been talking this guy lately, and when we first met he was reserved and shy (still kinda is). So far he has been a gentlemen and just wonderful to be around. The only question I do have is that he comes off this way in person, however when he texts me or instant message each other while we are working he says things that are out of character. i.e. “I’m having breakfast and just wondering how you like your eggs?” (Scrambled) “So that’s what I’ll be making for you on Saturday morning”. I normally wouldn’t think anything of this; however, he and I haven’t even seen each other all that much and haven’t even kissed yet?

Do men get more confidence to say what they want via text?

I can tell you, texting and being with someone is a whole different ball game. If he asked you that question he just wants to know what your likes are and already sees himself doing stuff for you, only means your in his thoughts, don't take this the wrong way. He is shy via text aswell , the question about the eggs is also a way he wanted to spark a conversation with you, he doesn't know how to initiate one. Next time answer him, wait for his reply and try to make the best out of the awkward convo, you will see it will drift to a different topic. I honestly don't like texting, but you do get confidence because you are not actually speaking with the person.

Well when some guys talk in person they don't wanna look embaressed saying something and acts nice instead, but when oyou can't se their face theyll have more confidence because you can't react and make it awkward for them. in which case after you get to know him more he might change an act more like how his texts make him appear

Personally, I'm much more confident when texting than I am in person.. Whilst texting it's much easier to get your words exactly right and how you mean them, plus you have time to think about what you're gonna say..

I'm also kinda shy and reserved in person, but when texting I seem to be completely different and have much more confidence.. I'd assume this is the case for most guys who seem shy and reserved in person..
