Why do I feel insecure texting first?

I have this thing that whenever I text my boyfriend first I feel like he doesn’t want to talk to me because he didn’t do it first.
Even when he replies right away I feel like I’m making him talk and he wouldn’t otherwise. He never told me not to text first or anything like it.
I just feel more secure when he does it first.
Why is that? How can I fix it?

I guess you are overthinking the "does he still love me" part. I didn't get the " he never told me to text first" part as in, why would a guy (or a person in general) would say that. Everybody likes first texters.

And about what you are thinking, maybe he is quite catched up in his schedule or something that he doesn't manage time or when he does, he just wants a peace of mind instead of talking to a person. There's really nothing to be worried about. 😊

I too don't like to text first someone. If someone texts me first, then I give them a reply. There are many people who act like that. It's not a big deal. Your boyfriend actually likes to talk to you. So don't think otherwise.

Maybe the next time u see each other in person bring up your concern and fix it. Then u won’t have to deal with this anxiety all the time.
