Why do girls show interest and then avoid you?

I'm so sick and tired of this. A girl acts like she likes me (trying to talk to me/coming up with excuses to be near me/smiling and making eye contact) then we you show interest back they say, "I have a bf" Or "I'm not looking to date right now". Wtf?

Girls don't like when she feels like the guy is desperate for her so, try to be interested but do it on a way that she wants you more then you want her. Girls test boys out to see how he reacts and if he is confident. The most used on my personal life is girls saying that I'm weak or ugly, but I know that I'm neither so I play around with it, that's what shows that you are confident, if she feels like you lost confidence because she said something she will see that you are not confident. I didn't say to show that your not interested but, if we guys think more about a girl then she thinks on us we are fucked. Instead of thinking on her do something and concentrate on it like exercise, games, school whatever. I do it myself and you get used to it. Instead of going after them make em go after you like meet em, make them interested and just go to your life, if she wants she texts you if she doesent fuck it.
