Why do people stare at me?

Question

I know it sounds lame and attention seekery but I really do wonder, sometimes when I go out shopping or just to get some milk I feel like almost everyone stares at me, even when I'm with my friends who I'd say are more attractive then I am people stare at me, its not like I dress weirdly or slutty , or give people weird looks. Like today I was in the supermarket and first person I see just stares, I was waiting in line and the check out chick was just staring at me but not in a mean way, what most commonly happens is I'll be doing something and I'll look up and a guy will be staring at me and like lock eyes with me, I look away and he still stares and that's the most that will happen. I find it seriously disconcerting I feel like there something on my face or that I'm so gross people just stare or just make up the worst possible reason why they would stare also its not like I'm amazingly pretty or anything, I wear like no make up and my skin isn't perfect and I'm pale and ugh

Okay, there is the very distinct possibility that you may have a giant alien perched on your head. If you've already checked and there is no alien, then there is another possibility YOU'RE HOT! Don't let it go to your head and become stuck up but the reason people are staring at you is probably because you're attractive.

Nothing to worry about, you're maybe a bit paranoid but everyone looks at other people. Hell, when I'm walking down the high street I'm constantly scanning for 'talent'.

also, you're attractive, hence why you get the looks.

its because you're beautiful but also interesting looking or how you are acting so people focus their attention on what you're doing  LOL I don't know if that made sense :)

Welcome in the club... ;) I have the same situation... everyone is staring at me for no reason. Sometimes it's creepy... but if girls are doin it, then I don't have anything against it  because sometimes staring may develop into something more interesting especially @ the bar ;)

i get lot of stares in my neighborhood but not much when I am outside  i just ignore the stares and do my thing,i guess you should also do the same thing
