Tsk, please disregard these guys saying a girl only kisses you on the cheek if she's friendzoning you.
I have kissed guys on the cheek and I liked them as MORE than friends! I have kissed crushes and guys I'm dating on the cheek.
It really depends on the girl and why she kissed you in the first place.

I can tell you this much, most women don't kiss a guy at all unless she likes him- as a close friend, or more. Yes, there's a chance it was a friendly kiss on the cheek, not even going to deny that or get your hopes up too much. But more than likely, she did it as a way to say she cares about you.

Yesterday, I kissed the guy who I have feelings for on the cheek. We were messaging each other for a couple of months, starting in June. He eventually told me that he wasn't ready for a relationship at the moment, and wanted to be friends. I told him whether he ends up with me or someone else, I wanted him to be happy and that I'm here for him, while holding hand.

Moving on, he was walking out the door when I called his name. He turned around and I asked him if he was OK. He said yes and that he was gonna go meet someone. As he was turning around, I held out my arms for a hug. He turned around and I approached him and hugged him around the shoulders and he hugged back. After a couple a seconds, as he was pulling away, I tuned my head and kissed him on his right cheek for a couple of seconds before letting go. He didn't pull away, move or anything. I said my goodbye and we both turned and walked. The reason why I kissed him on the cheek was to show him that I am here for him and that I have affection for him 💕 That's the reason why I kissed him on his cheek. The next day, I asked him if he felt uncomfortable and how did he feel? He said that it felt normal. I said ok with a smile awkwardly and walked away.

Personally I think the cheek kiss is usually a "friend kiss", unless you already have an intimate relationship.

At base value, it's an obvious sign of affection. But it doesn't really say by itself whether it is romantic affection or platonic affection.
