Do guys like it when their girlfriends send sweet texts?? or do they see that as clingy and needy?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 6 months now. we see each other a good bit and text a lot. He tells me he loves me a lot in person, but not so much over text. I tell him I love him over text and he always says it back...or he will say I love you more! we are very close and are very intimate. I am more sweet over text than he is. It is totally OK with me that he is not. My question is do guys really like it when there girlfriend tells them they love them and miss them or does it get on their nerves? I have always been reserved and let the guy do all of that.

Everything up to moderation is perfectly fine. I enjoy getting those texts saying 'I miss you' or stuff a long those lines. However, there is a limit and once it crosses that limit it starts to become annoying. There isn't much emotion or feelings that can be portrayed through text, so basically you're saying the same thing over and over again just adding "No I miss you more" or "I love you more" again and again. That's when it becomes a bit bothersome. Otherwise I'm genuinely happy to get those texts.

Doesn't bother me but I'm really affectionate. I crave that kind of attention, especially when she does it publicly, makes my ego rage lol.

It would annoy me if I receive 'sweet texts' frequently, I'd hate to be pampered with sweet texts all the time, but occasional ones are very much recommended.
