Is the hourglass figure the best size for women?

I don't find it a big deal and can find rectangle just as attractive. Might be because I'm originally from Japan. To find a Japanese girl with hourglass measurements would be a particularly rare sighting. Also I don't think discoveries about body type and fat distributions and fertility apply to Asian women, like this idea that hourglass figures and more fat distributed about hips and thighs and breasts suggests greater fertility. That might be true in Western women but I don't see such correlations in Asian women who tend to distribute body fat quite differently and can crank out five children with small breasts and butt/thighs and nothing close to hourglass.

The hourglass figure is generally attractive to pretty much all men who don't have a fetish for something else. Some guys want waifs, some guys are all about BBWs but most of us love the hourglass shape. There are variations like a preference to a bit exaggerated bubble butt or whatever.

Hourglass is a shape not a weight... Having an hourglass body means that your top and bottom are proportional. Another shape is pear, where you are more bottom heavy. It isn't about how much you weigh.
Personally I think you can look good no matter what body shape you have. As for weight I think as long as your in a healthy range it doesn't much matter to me.

There is no "best". There are beautiful women who come in all sizes and shapes, and what we "prefer" tends to be influenced by culture. You don't have to adopt that culture which encourages you to be critical of your own body and other women's.

Medium to slightly heavy. I've been doing photography since I was 8 and in highschool I did a lot of girls prom photos for free and all just for fun and just photoshoots for their insta and they always wanted me to Photoshop the hourglass shape and I never accepted it. It's easy to edit I'm Photoshop on how you can be but without Photoshop it's usually not possible without insanely strict and sometimes unhealthy diets. Some women have a natural hour Glass which is attractive though

as time goes by looks fade, body sags (for the most part) but if you have a beautiful personality you will be beautiful for the rest of your life

I don't think there is a best.. But there is a most coveted shape.. And the hourglass shape seems to be it.. At least here in the Qest and maybe other parts of the world.. Really a good pear shape is my favorite.. With the bottom heaviness..

I personally prefer skinny rectangle and for the hips to be narrow, or at least not significantly wider than the waist.

Hourglass is amazing. But the weight can vary. I like thinner, shorter women with an hourglass shape best, but I know that most guys don't care that much as long as you're in their range for shape and size, and even then, there are exceptions.

A lot of it is personal preference. But biology is obviously a heavy influencer as well.
I can tell you what my preference is, but I don't think The hourglass shape is the best one for women in general. I think they're natural healthy shape is best

Yes, it is. Hourglass can be small, medium or large, it just looks more attractive if they're in better shape. This is just genetics; hourglass promotes fertility due to wider hips and larger breasts.

I know Joe Rogan has said that the hourglass shape for women has been the general standard of beauty for centuries, so, maybe it is the best shape. Dunno. I tend to prefer less wide hips, but still around a 90% hip-to-waist ratio. The top is good.

Hourglass is good, anything that looks "healthy." I don't we should ever try to bodyshame people because some people have a much harder time losing (or gaining) weight but I do think everyone should try to be their 'personal best.'
