“Locking” eyes, mean anything?

As the question states does locking eyes mean anything? Was with a group of friends and me and this girl just kind of looked at each other at the same time and stared. It lasted maybe 2-3 seconds but weirded me out. Not in a bad way just in a way where it doesn’t happen often or that “intensely” I suppose. I ended up looking away

Next time, try smiling whenever you make eye contact with her or any other girl really.

If she smiles back as if she can't help but to smile back, then I would take it as a sign of attraction and try to close in.
