That should say *avoid lol. But depends what they are doing. In my experience, they are wanting attention in general, not mine specifically, so I just ignore it and walk away and they don't care because usually they've got someone else's attention. Or if it's me specifically, I might let them talk, but I just don't "feed" it at all, I stay quiet. Example this total stranger comes up to me the other day and proceeds to tell me all about how to heal a cut LOL. I don't know what his deal was, I think just a lonely guy wanting someone's attention and to have conversations with, but I just let him talk, didn't talk back, and said "thanks for the advice" and walked away lol. I was nice about it, but I didn't encourage him to continue talking at all!
Oh you'd avoid them because you think that they have someone else's attention. But what do you mean when you say that you don't "feed into it"? Also why don't you feed into it? You also mentioned that you would walk away if she was Just seeking attention in general, already had someone else's attention and doesn't care if you walk away. But if at the time you walked away and she cared about you no longer giving her you're attention, then why would you do in that scenario? Would you continue walking away, or stop for her And why?
Also, about the stranger guy giving you advice, why didn't you encourage him to proceed talking? Or propel him for that matter? I'm curious to know why you did that.
"feed into it" meaning I don't encourage them to keep talking more than they already are. Example, "how are you?" "Fine". Short and sweet answer (s). I don't give them more info to possibly get them talking or asking even more questions. Why do I do it? Because I probably didn't want them talking to me in the first place, so I'm trying to get them to stop and be on their way! LOL

What I mean is you told me that if girls Just want to chat or talk to guys then they should Just straight up tell them or talk to them. But what I mean to say is guys don't Initiate as much, or are even Interested to start a conversation to be fair, unless something is in it for them. Meaning that guys would only give attention if they get something from it. They turn it into a give and take type of thing. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say now...

That can't always be true though. She might be lonely and not have many guys approach her. You can always look at it from that angle too.

Depends on my relationship to her how you react is by asking her what attention she wants and giving it. But unfortunately through my life experiences girls who want attention are doing it for dangerous intentions like false claims of rape so unless I know her personally i’d ignore her.

Well, that's exactly it girls never do that like you said: "it would be a guy" and so when a girl comes by you think a regular girl would never do that so clearly she's after something bad nothing with true intentions or she'd act with true intentions.

Well truth is you haven't either, I've heard the brain doesn't fully mentally develop until 26. So you are not far off from me lol. And no unless it's a mean girl that is heartless and emotionless (which is rarely ever the case with girls since they are caring and nurturing in nature) she wouldn't use or take advantage.
