How can I befriend the new girl?

Offer to make her visit, ask if she knows where her classes are, etc :)

If you are in a club, ask her if she's aware of the existence of said club. Maybe she'll be into that,

Walk up to her and introduce yourself. Offer to eat lunch if she has no one to sit with or to show her where her classes are if she gets lost. (: She'll definitely appreciate it!
