Homer is classic, stupid and childish. Peter is stupid, childish, and crafty. He has schemes that don't always work out but he does try. Homer is just plain hilarious. If you think about it though both shows episodes are going down, it look the simpsons over 10 years (idk what season) and it took family guy sooner. They have gotten more raunchy instead of having more with like in seasons 1-5.
The Simpsons are a "classic" and have been around for such a long time, where as people recently began giving a damn about Family Guy because of I don't know what.
They are both so stupid yet awesome
family guy copies the simpsons... the simpsons did it first.
Entertainment purposes. Every major character is also an alcoholic if you didn't notice that either (homer-simpsons, brian-family guy, bender-futurama ect...) I grew up on the simpsons so homer wins.
homer>peter every day of the week. the simpsons is classic and family guy is OK sometimes.
