So I think she likes me, but sometimes I am not sure? Her behavior is really inconsistent?

I met this girl a long time ago in my 1st year psych class and we hit it off pretty well, at first when we didn't know each other she wouldn't even look at me, but everythign changed when I sat beside her, she reallyh liked it and I had a feeling that she liked me.

However next time I met her, she was avoiding me and ignoring me even though it looked as if she was either feeling nervous or bad about what she was doing. I think she was waiting for some guy, because when he came she hugged him and then left with him. She smiled at me once.

I was confused at first and sort of dissapointed but whatever, any how I tried to talk to her again and although she was more calm and friendly, she was still acting very tense around me. The same guy came and he sort of took her away from me and left with her, she told me to wait though. I got really jealous for some reason and decided to ignore her, I know dumb decision.

From then on, her behavior was strange I noticed that she would sometimes give me: Dirty looks, act embarrased around me, look at me from far away and pulling away or act like she was mad at me when I would look at her. Specially the last one, this went on for around a year. I know long time but since we had that class for a whole year it was hard to avoid her, plus I see her around campus constantly.

She did however make a move on me, she changed spotws with her friend and sat close to me, I mean so close I could smell her perfume and we were touching arms, although she didn't say anythign as I assume she wanted me to open up. I ignored her as I am stupid as you can see and well from then on she just kept acting like she was mad at me.

The last time that I tried to talk to her, it was different you know at first she was like yeah? and then isked her if she remembered me and she changed her face, and then told me she had to meet somebody and walked away. It seems that she wasn't as mad anymore per se.

So what do you think? What I am really wondering its her behaviour, it seems that she likes me or that the signs are there, but she just seems to blow me away every time I get close to her, its so confusing. She is so umpredictable one day she will make a move on me, the other day she is giving me the cold shoulder. It is just really confusing and inconscistent behavior.

In all honesty man - this is why you'll always hear advice of "be yourself". Right now, your acting in correspondence to her behavior -> that's not who you are. You said so yourself too, read your own words above.. Instead, if you wanna make a move on her, make a move. Don't try to tell if she's interested or not, just know whether or not your interested and act accordingly.

Your being just as hot and cold as she is - and to be honest, you guys have been playing a long game of cat and mouse, which would drive any two people away from a potential relationship. If your gonna make a move, do it. Just realize that your taking a risk doing it, you might and could get rejected -> You can't hold that against her, it's your choice to approach her or to sit in your lonesome.

As for my opinion on whether or not she likes you -> Sounds like she's still trying to figure out "who" you really are.. Per the information above, you "were" interested and then when she acted upon your interest (ironically when she started to lose it) -> You pulled away... That communicated: "Well.. maybe he's not interested like I thought he was"... Try to be more congruent with what you want and show it -> You shouldn't feel bashful for liking someone, even if they don't like you. Just make sure you are respectful of them (i.e. your not FORCING them to be around you or to "like you back".. etc)

Silence calls for assumptions which samtymes can be true. Girls are always smart to know if you are interested in them but you should not expect them to get the signal and respond. Rather I will suggest if you are truly interested, you make good use of your chances. Anytime you get her smile, just make it known to her that she is playing with your feelings. At this point be in the good position to defend what you feel for her

i feel like I can relate to her except I'm more shy and nervous and I don't have some other guy around, but either way what most likely is happening is that she does feel attracted to you and likes you but she's unsure how you feel about her and she's not going to reveal legit signs she's into you until you give her the green light that you like her too simply because she's afraid of rejection...its an ongoing game on and off...and not until someone comes forth and says I like you or lets hang out, the games won't end. I know because I was in this mess more than 2 yrs! sadly...and it got so annoying and out of control that it blew up and we don't talk anymore.

basically just be confident and go after her if you like her. its simple logic, if you like something you go after it. just walk up to her and try to be friendly and get her number ask her to grab coffee hang out etc and that way you'll find out how she really feels about u, even if she says no or plays hard to get, you will at least be relieved that you didn't miss out on anything because she's cocky and a player.

The number one reason of being inconsistent is not really knowing what you want. I don't think she really knows what she wants, if she even wants to be with you. Maybe she thinks she's getting too close to you so she gets cold the next day hoping you wouldn't consider her clingy.

Just ask her. Much easier than pondering about these things so much.

Perhaps she's confused of whether or not you like her. As a result, she sends mixed signals. Maybe she thinks that you like her, but gets frustrated that you're not responding or taking initiative to ask her out. As for the other guy, either he's just a stand in until you make a move, or maybe she's trying to make you jealous.

Talking with her and just being open about it would be a good step. Maybe she is trying to sit close to you etc to see if this could break the ice. She may be wanting you to make the first move. It seems like she may be conflicted on how she feels about you from the description of the behavior. The only way to find out what is going on is to talk to her.

I think she is confused about her feelings and you should talk to her but don't get your hopes up, even if she did like you she wouldn't admit it, and you obviously have some feelings for this girl in some way, but you need to find your self and not be so hard to read and not get your hopes up to high, there's a difference between confidence and hoping

Honestly I wouldn't be so sure she likes you. I think you are reading too much into simple behaviors. Have you ever talked to her for longer than five minutes? It didn't sound like it from the above..
