I found out that the girl I had liked got her nipples pierced and not sure what to make of it?

i had a thing for her earlier in the year than lost contact , but still like her , anyways was looking through a couple recent pictures of her and was one of her in a bikini , its very tight against her chest and you can see very clearly that she now has both of her nipples pierced.

it came as a total surprise as i had no clue she had done this , now i'm not sure if its a recent addition ( as piercing places just re opened 2 weeks ago here ) or she's had them for a while and i just never noticed. although no one ever mentioned she had pierced nipples , you having both done people would of noticed as she was well known here. but i did know that she had her belly pierced and 1 tattoo so maybe she was the type into body piercings more than i realised. but a lot of young women are getting this piercing so maybe it shouldn't come as a total surprise. although was certainly not expecting to see a pic of her with pierced nips

and now i'm not sure what to make of it , is a part of me that finds its total hot , another wonders what is going on with her for her to suddenly have these , i mean she doesn't really seem like the type? or has she had them before and i just never noticed this side of her , is she not the girl i though she was or something about her i just didn't seem to clue into

Here's my thought on it. Since it seems to be bothering you a lot and you said "she doesn't really seem like the type", I'm thinking that you don't like it when women do that and feel that it says something about their personality that you find unappealing. I don't think there's anything wrong with feeling that way. I personally much prefer "natural" women and don't like piercings anywhere (other than the earlobes) or tattoos and would feel disappointed if someone I was dating or thinking about dating did that. If that's how you feel too, then I certainly understand you being surprised and disappointed.

She's free to make the choice to do that though. If you were in a serious relationship already, I would hope that she would discuss it with you first and seriously consider your opinion, but it sounds like you're not in any kind of relationship at all so she certainly didn't need to get your approval.

My opinion is that what you need to do now is accept that she has pierced nipples and then decide how much that affects how you feel about her. If it makes you feel that she's probably not a good match for you, then you just need to try to forget about her and look for someone else to pursue that is a good match. If you feel that she probably is still a good match for you or at least someone that you want to get to know better in order to see how good a match you are, then you need to focus on getting her to give you a chance to get to know her better and stop worrying about the piercings.

In my opinion, everyone's free to do what they choose to do with their own body and everyone's free to choose their own criteria for who they find appealing and want to be with. If she makes a choice that changes your choice, then that's fine. It's the way the world works. You should be with someone you feel good about being with and she should be with someone that likes her for who she is and wants to be with her. If that means the two of you aren't a match, then there's not really anything you can do about that but accept it and move on.

yes i still like her , i don't necessary have an issue with her having them , just didn't feel she was the type although i do think they suit her in some odd way

well it just came as a surprise , she just didn't seem like the type , her boobs aren't really something you'd notice so she might of been able to hide them from people

guess i worry that i'm going to lose out on her to other guys , i get the feeling she'll be in more demand now ( not just cause of the pierced nips ) but she's been putting her self out there more and her posts on social media show her being a lot of fun and desirable

well that is the big question rate now? what kind of girl is she , she had appeared to be more down to earth , a gym girl who was the type to do well in school , she had goals in life , not sure how to describe her but she doesn't really seem like the type to have pierced nipples , although at her age maybe there is less of a type now and this piercing is more mainstream so a lot more girls have it now

Yeah, most likely a mainstream thing, most girls have pierced nips, but you really shouldn't let that interfere. If you still like everything else about her, then you need to ask if yourself if this is something you could overlook and accept.
