I'm feeling very insecure right now. I was raised to be independent. Not to depend on no man. I just read a comment on instagram how a man could cheat on this independent woman for a girl who has nothing because she is feminine...

Honestly, I dont know how to be feminine... I don't know how to ask for something when all my life whatever I want I go get it MYSELF... I'm girly. Somewhat pretty on a good day but I feel like that's not enough and I'm feeling very insure... thoughts?

I must agree with your other interlocutors. Why in the world would you think a woman can’t be both independent and feminine? Feminine ≠ helpless. It’s quite the opposite, actually. The most profound femininity isn’t physical or behavioral, it’s internal. It’s about feminine longings which include the desire to make a house a home, to participate in community and maintain connections, to have or desire a partner (not a guy that does stuff because you can’t, but a partner), and to build and care for family.

Independence isn't a male or female thing. It's genderless. At the younger stages everyone is taught how to be independent. How to hold your own bottle, and walk on your own. Whoever said that is highly confused and probably just has a daddy issue thing going on. They probably feel powerless or want someone who feels powerless. Don't listen to it. Being independent is a very intelligent and attractive thing to do. ok, here is the situation. Most men don't give a shit about your job, salary education. I'm not trying to be mean and i support a girls right to be equal... but it means nothing to most men. We are naturally (instinctually) attracted to feminine women. attractive women. maternal, soft, but firm, motherly, kind women...

Its hard for me to give insight since I dont know you two. Forget about whats fair and focus on what guys really want if you really want them. Some guys get upset because a women looks for a guy who can provide for them and their family. They think that 's not fair but its what comes instinctually to many women. It doesn't mean that every women wants the rich guy. some women might not care about the money but they might want the guy to be a good father or a strong protector.
