Can a confident outgoing girl suddenly be shy?

Well I just don't get why she wouldn't say hi to me or acknowledge me when she comes into a house with just about five people in and me. Not looking at me, making her head turned away from me. I got the idea she was confident, I've given her no reason to ignore me... maybe she's confident with guys her age (16) but because I'm like a couple years older not so much? It's confusing.

My Crush is exactly like that... she makes fun out of her teammates and even scolds them and makes bold comments mocking them. However, if she turns to me, I can clearly see her feminine side and she makes jokes on me but not like she does to her friends. Her voice suddenly gets stuck if I ask her that she didn't expect and she starts to ignore me for a while to see whether I still approach her or not. She blushes a lot and if she sees me unexpectedly at cafeteria or in elevator...

Do what you doing and she will eventually know that you are real deal No matter what never ever ignore her if you are really into her. nvr evr hurt her feelings

I'm confident and out going, I can talk for England, and I can talk about anything for England...but I become shy when I am around someone I like...well, except its not shyness, I know that in general I am quite loud and not in your face, but I'm a very confident person within myself...

So when I like a guy, I might for a bit tone it down, cause some people can find me either annoying or intimidating because I am so straight up and forward.

I have noticed recently that around this guy I like, I am probably saying more with my eyes and body language then I am to him.

I bet you she likes you, and is scared that she will be overbearing/do something wrong. Girls do that kind of thing all the time. Unless she's heard someone say/you've said that you like her?

I haven't told her and nobody knows. I don't know her that well, but our parents are really good friends, and I'm friends with her step brother so I'm at one of her two houses a lot.

A couple weeks ago when loads of us were at her house having drinks and I was staying over I just randomly told her that it'll feel weird not havin' my cat on my bed with me for the first time in ages and she offered to let me have one of her cuddly toys to make up, like as a joke I think
