Girls, Why is she avoiding me but still will start some interaction?

This girl i like has been avoiding me and acting shy/awkward towards me. We've clicked really well and we talk heaps. Now she is acting shy/awkward around me. I've noticed she doesn't make eye contact with me and things are awkward between us. It's almost like she freezes around me i know she is not acting herself towards me. I chose to leave her alone after an awkward encounter only a few hours later she starts some small conversation with me.

Because either you pursing her to date her, and she doesn't want to. Or she is trying not to 'fall for you' but wants your friendship. You are making her insecure more than she already feels. She knows you like her. But she doesn't want more than that. But is scared to lose you too. If you don't want a friendship, tell her now instead of leading her on.

Because she wants friendship. She emotionally invested in you. What did you expect? She's not a robot, she's human.

Maybe she is starting to have feelings and she doesn't know how to make first move. ask her to take a walk or go for a drive. If she turns u down shed a game player... then be careful.

I've work with her for some time now. So there wouldn't be any reason why things would be awkward between us. There has been some awkward eye contact

But what I am saying is she might have only saw you as a co-worker or friend before. And now maybe she is starting to have intimate feelings

True she has ever only been open with me at work. I'm the only guy she has been open with as oppose to other guys at work.
