I never suspected anyone to be overdramatic during their periods. All of my roommates including me had terrible periods. I have to walk like a Hunchback for the first 2 days. Plus i get this gas stuck up my abdomen every period that will cause me to feel dizzy and scream in pain and it takes about 2 hours to pass. My ass and pussy hurts while i go to the bathroom.
One of my friends got her period after many months and she was suffering like hell. She had to cut her class. Same way , my another friend had to stop writing an exam in between.
I grew up seeing 2 of my aunts plus my mother suffering from heavy bleeding. They had non stop bleeding for a whole month sometimes. They also had infertility issues and endometriosis.
Go ahead. Call me overdramatic and stuff. I would never call another woman that during her periods because i can empathize with her112 Reply
Asker+1 yI never called you overdramatic. I just wanted to know what other people are thinking. Chill.
Asker+1 yOmg. When in my question did I say that periods are nothing? That's right, nowhere. Stop getting mad over something you've clearly misunderstood, and ask calmly what I meant, before you lash out.
Asker+1 ySince you never asked, I'm gonna explain it myself. I asked this in order to see why people might think that women overreact, not because I think women overreact.
Asker+1 yI do get how my question could have been misunderstood in that way, and I'm sorry that you felt offended by it. I know some women have a hard time with period pain. I myself have many friends, who are in a similar situation as you, and I'm also sorry that you felt like I was calling you overdramatic.
Asker+1 yThat "(I'm not disagreeing)" I put there because I'm not looking for trouble. Why would I start an argument on the internet when I dont have to?
Asker+1 yAnd of course some women overdramatise it. It is very unlikely that there aren't some who do it.

You don't have to apologise. Like i said, i can see guys asking this question but a girl calling it overdramatic is kinda misogynistic.
Guys keep on saying"Oh that period thing again" . It just makes me offended because i have seen my fair share of people suffering due to periods and it's not like they get it intentionally.
Asker+1 yYea. I don't think we're actually disagreeing on anything.

And TMI but I also clot a lot, tons. Also passing stools hurts like a mofo. The clots hurt too. So definitely depends on the woman

+1 yUsually if I date a girl I ask her straight up. Either its not a big deal and I won't accept any excuses for it OR it is a big deal and I expect you to be ok being treated like a child. None of this bullshit yelling and screaming shit or fucking shit up just to say "Oops its my period" nah, if thats the excuse you are not capable on those days so I expect you to stay indoors what if you did that shit out in public? You could go to jail or lose your job! Not cool. lol

Asker+1 yBut what about the ones who actually hurt that much?
- +1 y
Well if it hurts that much I expect them to stay in bed all day because they are helpless. A lot of girls use it as an excuse. Either it hurts so bad you can't even go out with your friends, or it doesn't hurt that bad and you can do everything you normally can. Not this bullshit many girls do where they can't do anything they are normally responsible for yet can simultaneously go shopping with their friends LOL.
Asker+1 yhmmm yea, okay, if it's like that I get what you mean. Because that logically doesn't make any sense if they complain and go around their day afterwards pretending everything is fine.. I've only complained once about it, and I couldn't even stand up then.

Yeah just a lot of girls use it as an excuse and its all fake. But i do know some girls are really hurt over it. My ex would lay in bed crying all day. And i knew it was real because she had missed out on a lot of fun stuff because of it.
+1 ySome definitely do. Many, in fact. But I have also seen women who, despite the horrible cramps, tried to fulfill their duties.
The most memorable was a colleague doing her duty while visibly being in pain (she was trying to supress it big time), and when measuring her blood pressure and pulse, it was above the charts... despite taking medicine. So clearly she was in a world of hurt. And yet she did what she had to do.10 Reply

+1 yAbsolutely not! Periods increase hormones which in turn can make us women more emotional or easily irritated as well as the cramping that comes along with it 🤦🏽♀️

Asker+1 yWhat's with the facepalm?
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI’ve passed out and thrown up in the past. I’ve had guys tell me it’s “probably not that bad” when my belly is bloated to the size of a bowling ball (I’m usually skinny) and I’m farting enough to launch myself into the stratosphere and burn Satan’s nostrils. Some girls have light periods but I don’t think we overdramatize them in general. It’s just a natural consequence of flawed, unfortunate design.

+1 yIf we’re not taken seriously, sure. I give everyone a heads up to not bother me or make me do chores. Even me walking around painfully and sneezing, I’m already gushing out a lot. It’s just the first 3 days are painful, then the rest of the week is light and brown spotting.

So yeah I needed emergency surgery but I thought it was just my period. It can be that painful sometimes.10 Reply770 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. I believe some do, maybe just want to get pampered or attention but for me, the pain is not a joke. I have been sent to the hospital when I was on my final exam. Good thing I had finished like 80% of the paper and managed to pass with C.

Asker+1 yYes, for some it's awful.
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yNo, my periods give me migraines, nausea, full-body agony, and hormonal-ness on top of it all. I seriously feel like I'm dying. I've been accused of overdramatizing before and it makes me so upset because my pain is not being taken seriously. I'm not overexaggerating anything, and I don't think other women do either.
20 ReplyHow would I know? I don't know how they feel. The women I've been around have not overdramatized it at all.

Asker+1 yIt's different from woman to woman, your mother probably didn't feel like complaining about such things to her son, or she was one of the ones without the truly severe symptoms.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yDepends. Some just say stuff and create drama. However, my periods are the worst thing ever. I’m literally unable to walk or get out of bed for few days.

The ones that do, make it seem like they got their leg chopped off.
Or as if their in labor. Like calm tf down.
Asker+1 yYea, true. The worst I've ever gotten kinda felt like appendicitis (in the wrong side), but not nearly as bad as the things you listed.
