I just asked a gym question too haha please look at mine too I’d love a guy’s perspective. I’d say at least for me I for sure check guys out. Sometimes it’s a passing glance such as seeing an attractive guy walk by as I’m on the elliptical or something. Other times I’m doing exercises in an area and an attractive guy is there too and I do look for a second. I continue my workouts and am not bold so personally I’d never say something to them. But I do find them attractive that’s why I look. What I would do is if you think they find you attractive, usually it’s a yes if they keep staring, I’d maybe find a casual way to talk to her. It’s not an open invite to start a long conversation. It’s more to test the waters. So if she’s doing an exercise you’ve never seen just be like “hey I’ve never seen that one before how do you do it?” Or “what’s it called I want to write that down to add to my routine” something small where she doesn’t feel she’s getting hit on and where she can either A. Brush you off because she’s not interested and it won’t feel awkward or B. Choose to continue the conversation.
Quite often.. or well I do not go to the standard gym but a climbing gym where it is acceptable to look at other people to see how they climb the wall. But I do look more if it is someone I find attractive :D

I check out guys all the time from the side of my eyes or in the gym mirror or so. Its just i try to be discreetly or avoid looking out of shyness so i dont get caught
