This is a very vague question. Are they stronger physically, mentally, emotionally, or intellectually, or by what measure are we comparing?

Physically they can be, take an average guy and put him up against a woman body builder. I think the proof is self explanatory. Men's bodies are more prone to bring stronger because of the different amounts of hormones as testosterone gives men the ability to develop muscle easier. Therefore an average man compared to an average woman, yes the man has a better chance of being stronger.

Mentally they can be more in tuned with day to day life. I know a lot of men that freak out when finding out they are going to be left alone with the kids for a whole day. Yet, a single mom can plan and host a birthday party at Chuckie Cheese and still manage to come home and prepare the family for the next day. I am not saying it goes off without a hitch but yes women are very strong mentally.

Emotionally women can display my empathy towards others which makes them better nurturers than protectors, not saying they can't hold their own to protect their kids. They can bring much better comfort to a child the majority of the time. I have had many a great moms, so caring understanding and yet knows when the line needs to be drawn for discipline.

Intellectually there are women that can shut men down with only a sentence or two. Women have been oppressed since the dawn of time. They have clearly proven they can be a match going toe to toe. Failure on a man or woman's part is not due to gender but the individual. Some women can go through natural child birth and push out a bowling ball without passing out but yet you have manly men that pass out trying to pass a kidney stone. Who is stronger in that sense?

This question is too opened ended and more than likely cannot not reach a definitive answer as whether a woman is weaker or stronger than men.

Kinda like are women dumber than men? Depends on where they are standing. If the question who is smarter in the kitchen if the woman is a chef and the man changes oil at the local Jiffy Lube. The man would be smarter about cars than the woman chef but that isn't always the case which brings me back to being stronger, smarter, or better can't be based on gender. It can only be based upon individuals. (Drops mic and walks away)

Nope women are not stronger then men simple biology.

For one men have larger muscle fibers then women do our muscles are naturally stronger and build more muscle at an accelerated and more efficient rate then women. And our bodies produced 20 times more Testosterone then women's do. Testosterone being the chemical reasonable for muscle gain.

And I say this as someone who was a certified personal trainer I had learn all about the biology and physiology, anatomy of both the male and female bodies, how their muscles work, among many other things.

Women are weaker then men it's a indisputable fact back up by science. Sorry ladies.

To put an example on the table my job is manual labor.

On average we stack pallets of seed all day long back to back for 8 hours. A typical pallet has 50 bags on it each bag weighs 50lbs. That's 2,500 pounds we on average do 22 pallets a day that's 55,000 pounds. At bear minimum if 2 people are stacking a pallet then I'm lifting and moving by hand bag by bag 8,750 pounds over the course of an 8 hour day.

At it's max I'm lifting by hand around 25,000 pounds back to back. And it doesn't even really tire me out while I'm at work.

Even right now when I'm weak and haven't gone to the gym in a while I can still leg press around 500 pounds.

Sorry but women overall are naturally outclassed in the strength department when it comes down to it.

If you're talking about "physically stronger" then no, women are not stronger than men. There are a few exceptions (example-Rhonda Rowsey), but those are very much exceptions and not rules. In fact, the main reason why it's so much worse for a man to hit a woman than vice versa is because of how much physically stronger men are. If I hit my husband the most I could do to him is give him a few bruises. However, if he hit me (which he never has) he could do some serious physical damage to me.
However, if you're talking about "mentally" or "emotionally" stronger I'd say men and women are very much equal.

Basic biology says otherwise, but women do have an advantage in living longer and are less prone to some diseases due to two x chromosomes so I don't know that women are weak tbh. But yeah physically men.

There's not really a right answer. On average in terms of strength? No. Most countries are not first world/modern ones. Majority of the world's population are on the poor side. In addition, most hold some sort of traditional mindset. The amount of women worldwide that have hundreds of ways they are kept from getting physically stronger is very high vs men who 99% of the time are free to do physically demanding things. So this alone would make guys worldwide on average stronger than women. But ALSO, there is the biological side that has some effect. Specifically, girls deal with a chance of crippling pain once a month for several years that disallows much physical activity that guys flat out do not deal with and in the meantime, can be taking advantage and getting stronger that entire time. Not to mention pregnancy is only for women and that's several months maybe years with multiple babies, that a man could be building muscle while a woman barely can.

Can a woman be stronger than a guy? Duh. Is it as likely as the opposite? No.

Not statistically or with respect to medians, modes, or maximums. You can just look at things like Olympic records for maximums and papers measuring things like grip strength between average men and women (not trained athletes) to get some idea.

Actually, I underestimated how much weaker women are in the upper body -- on average -- than men. I thought they would be stronger but apparently, the grip strength of an average man is still stronger than the most elite female athletes in the world.

Depends on the measure of strength. If you mean physically, generally no. If you mean emotionally, spiritually and mentally, I say that girls are definitely stronger. Girls can talk about emotions and therefore can accept their emotions easier. Yes, there is the stereotype that women are less emotionally stable than men, but I do not believe that is true. Because men generally suppress their emotions, they do not cope with them effectively, which can sabotage our lives. Because women acknowledge their emotions and let themselves experience them, they can deal with them better in the long run. Women are often better at seeing the good in life. Overall, I believe women are stronger in the categories that matter in life.

Women do one of the most painful things that can happen to a person. Giving birth to a child, look up what happens as the baby is being birthed. I think the truth is in life there is balance. Men naturally harness physical strength, while women have innate mental strength. She can walk away from somebody she loves. Men are naturally stronger. It’s like everyones at a starting line and when it comes to being physically stronger, men start off further ahead on the starting line. Hard work will make up for the lack on the women side, but men start off stronger.
