You get treated like shit because you go beyond being nice to being a doormat. Chivalry doesn't require that you put girls on a pedestal which is balanced on top of your passive, submissive corpse. Try being bold and going for what you want. You can still be a decent human being at the same time.

Look, we’re all suckers for nice guys. Every one of us. If you’re not getting results, maybe you’re not as nice as you think you are. “Old school chivalry” ain’t it for me it’s misogynistic. Oh dear goodness... Girls don't owe you anything, and you don't owe girls anything. If you want to be nice, do it because you ARE nice, not because you want sex for it. Girls love guys that are genuinely nice. I have met so many kind men! They were kind to me because they ARE nice, not because they wanted me for my body.
