I think it depends on the person. Different styles suit people differently.

For myself, I haven't been able to decide. I think one of my favorites was my shoulder length hair, but I'm also liking my mid-lower back length hair. I think for people with hair similar to mine (thick and moderately curly/wavy), layers definitely make a positive difference both in the appearance and maintenance of it.

I really love the Farrah Fawcett look from the '70s, as well as other "big" and voluminous hairstyles. I had that haircut many years ago and I loved it, and have recently thought about doing it again.

I like braids on strawberry blond hair or braids parted to the sides. The type of traditional style you would find in a wedding photo. On a darkened haired woman, I think a shoulder length or neckline length hair cut that is layered looks good and on a black woman, I think a Beyoncé style cut but not dyed blond looks good. I also like Kim Kardashians hair cut.

I don't know why I'm so damn attracted to braided boho hairstyles... there's just something about them that reminds me of warm and kind hearted, earth loving and adventurous girls. Also kinda looks like that fantasy princess look.

I prefer my natural/curly/frizzy hair. It's hard to maintain when it's let down so I usually keep it in a neat bun or a nice french braid in the back to save time getting ready.

My hair texture and type is VERY high maintenance but when it's hydrated and healthy it's definitely my preferred style.
