Girl I have a crush on is sending mixed signals. Does she like me?

This girl I like at work stares at me a lot from afar but looks away when caught. She always has a serious face when staring at me but jokes and talks with EVERYONE but me. She did my work samples for me one time, came up behind me and laughed when I almost bumped into her, tried talking to me once (I’m shy) asking me if i was having fun (because the workload was insane that day), i got transferred to another shift where her brother works for about 4 months before I asked to come back and during that “exile” period she came to give her brother something, saw i was there and 9 days later came for overtime on her free days but DID NOT talk to me and even seemed to avoid me only coming up to my work zone when i was far or away to help do my stuff but continued her awkward staring game and was apparently jealous of a female coworker talking to me cuz that coworker told me after i sent her to talk to her that she rudely glared at her and ignored her when she tried to talk to her but stared at us without even hiding it when we talked to eachother. Then around late June I come back to her shift and she coldly ignores me and barely helps me out and when she does she doesn't look at me directly nor talk with or even greet me but continues staring in short bursts and when i look she looks away and socializes with literally everyone even new people except me. Con’s I've gathered is she has a boyfriend but she’s very unhappy with him cuz he's lazy and she pays all the bills and our supervisor knows her since she was a kid cuz he used to bang her mom and he pretends to be her uncle to scare away men i guess but he likes me so he’s also told me some of this stuff himself. It basically feels like she hates me for some reason but I barely talk just work so there is no logical breeding ground for any negative behavior she may have against me and I’m the only one being treated differently by her. She has talked to me but only for work stuff. Barely.

It seems to me that earlier she use to like you but now it is quite confusing man. at least you should have a chat with her. I know you are shy and i am too that's why i have loosen the girls i really like. So don't be just like me a looser. Talk with her.

You’re right about it being confusing (other posters are giving mixed responses) so its not just us that are confused. I dunno in any other case this behavior would mean she's not interested but she acts strangely enough around me to discard that possibility.

And yeah im shy but hell she's making it difficult for me.

Man the best way to know if she likes you or not is go and chat with her , just start with normal hi and hello , like how you doin? Make her comfortable and please don't be a shy man, it will only loose the girls you like

We've had very limited positive contact but I've been shifted around a lot so its never had that chance to bloom but when i was out of her shift we met again and thats when it got awkward now im back on her shift and its still like this. i mean, lets get this out of the way I’m a nervous wreck especially when she’s around but every time I psyche myself up to say something (if she’s even close enough to me) she goes cold and avoidant no acknowledgement whatsoever and from her body language she seems nervous but like in a “i need to run away asap” kind if way and at least on the work side she gives me one word answers.

So basically im willing to swallow my bs and try to talk but it just never feels like i have good window for it and she seems to try to avoid me yet keeps looking at me from far away.

I was talking with one of her work friends and she wanted to speak to him but basically stepped back and waited for me to leave before getting closer.

At least, since i last saw her this past Tuesday she was leaving early and was with a coworker who was training her and he made a joke about some vending machine crackers to me and when i replied to him i that i disliked sugar i looked at her and she was paying attention to me as i spoke and reacted to my answer with an “oh well” expression BUT left afterwards with the guy like nothing happened.

You’re probably right. But like i have zero experience with this stuff, how could i even break the ice after all this awkward shit? She’s complained about her boyfriend to other coworkers b4 so i guess she's just about ready to dump him but then she's still got his pic on her phone and facebook and the boss is her “guardian” so to speak but f all that. Basically what i just need is a little more solid confirmation that she’s interested besides the cold stares and avoiding me because that gives me hope but then she acts all weird and i lose my balls.

Whats your take? there's no negative history and we had a few good moments. If she dislikes me why the tension? The staring? I've worked with people who dislike or dont care for me and the vibe they put out is waaaayyy different. So im super confused.

I mean im the odd one out and she treats everybody normally so wth is going on? she's seen me talking to others, i work hard and help out (probably too much) im too shy to have said anything even remotely negative so?

Just so its out there when i was on her brothers shift he used to be just a tad bit worse than her, he ignored me completely for no reason (except for a few rare occasions where he tried being friendly) turns out he hates crowds and doesn't talk to people he doesn't know (yet despite my bs he reached out to me several times) and on my last days on that shift we hit it off and became chummy so at least i have that going for me in the sense that just because she's weird doesn't mean she hates me (why would she)
