Is being different a blessing or a curse?

I have never drank alcohol and I hate being mean to people.

I am no way religious as such although something does happen after you die.

i am 5ft 7 and a uk size 10. I am also a redhead with very pale skin.

I paint and play guitar . I am also obsessed with reading and love movies. you are probably thinking so what's the problem?

well I have never had a boyfriend. the one guy I had a crush on , used me as a joke to his friends. he made fun of me for anything I did. He would like my Facebook status and then joke with the rest of his mates.



i decided I would try to fit in and wear tight fitted clothing and have a drink. the minute I tired I was made a joke of. I have been told I look like this girl from true blood

I don't have that many friends and soon I will be going to college. my question is should I change how I am in order to be more accepted and get a boyfriend and enjoy college life more?by change I mean dye my hair or wear fake tan.

Its a blessing not a curse. Being different often means being valuable in my opinion. Going out for a night of drinking can be fun but if its not your thing, you are not missing out on much. Most of the time you will run into a lot of jerks anyways so don't let them get to you. In general, you just gotta filter the idiots out and focus on meeting the good people. I suggest that you not change to fit in. It can be hard at first, but when you stick to your true self, you will eventually find those uncommon worthy individuals who will appreciate for who you are. I'm a pretty outgoing guy and being a pale red head says nothing about a person to me neither is it a turn off, I'm more interested personality. Elegance is much more attractive than sluttyness to me. College is a great opportunity to meet people with similar interests so you shouldn't have a problem. I am sensing that you might be a bit shy? There is nothing wrong with being spiritual, I'm the same :)

Being different is definently a blessing... Imagine if everyone was the same... life would be so boring... Thank God He made everyone different, with their own personalities, moods, etc

Research Nicola Roberts - she's a pale redhead and she had problems but over came them.

Don't worry very much about it and remember if you change yourself too much you might get the type of attention you don't want. Sometimes its just better to be yourself because in the end it will work out better. I have been a little bullied in life more so when I was younger, I learnt to respect myself so therefore I count my differences as a blessing because I would much rather be who I am than some dumb popular slutty girl.

Try to make friends with people that accept you. You will know it when you see it because they will smile whenever they see you and want to hang out with you. Everyone is unique. No sense in changing who you are if ultimately it will make you miserable.
