No, I drove trucks for years, and it isn't unusual to see women driving.
Anyone can go forward, it takes a truck driver to back up.
I have seen plenty of men drivers, and wonder how they got their license.
New trucks are so much nicer, more power, power steering, air conditioning, automatic transmission, quieter, just nicer to be in all day.
Traffic is worse now, so many drivers suck, too many distracted drivers.
Hats off to those that chose that profession now.
Not a bad way to make a living.

I drive a 2020 ken-worth yes the autos shift like butter but they use a lot of air to accomplish this, anything under 100 psi and you can't get out of neutral. Other than that I love it. And yes traffic and distracted drivers is insanely stressful!

I always ended up with the pride of the fleet, if the radio worked the heater wouldn't, if the heater worked the radio wouldn't, if neither worked it would be a long day.

Nope, truckers are gross most piss in bottles (me included) but women have to piss in a 5 gallon bucket or wide mouth coffee cup. You think there are restrooms everywhere you truck? No sir. Their coochies have to smell like low tide on a humid summers day. Not all of us truckers like to shower in gas stations! Personally i shower once a week!
