I have seen (recently) a bunch of guys (some of whom I know) look at a woman’s name and comment if she’s likely to be fit or not (not first time and I’ve done similar in the past).

If you take a bunch of words say, Sarah Smith, as the starting point, it just gets more complex on how sexualisation slips in to everyday life.

I’ve been interviewing someone for a job and they have come out with ‘girls are not good engineers’, considering his team leader and his manager were going to be women engineers with a lot of experience, he never got much further.

It is part of a general judgement / sexualisation thing that society has.

eduction - not having a degree etc
ethnicity - being black or other skin colour
Gender - being female
Sexuality - LGBT+
fashion - clothes, tattoos etc
Age - young / old
body type - size of body and it’s bits.
sexual history - Non virgin

if you start ticking those boxes, then the judgment police come charging forward. Even without know the person, it being words on a page, then people will judge and at various time sexualise.

Back to the original question, I do believe in parts it’s getting better but it’s very much a game of snakes and ladders, just when you think you get through a week without judgement or sexualisation, someone kicks you down a snake (last bit had input from 2 peeps with lol).
