Why do some women compare themselves to witches?

Women are often passive or wish to appear to be. Witchcraft is defined as using
Witchcarft by definition is "the use of supernatural powers, usually to do harm". This means she can secretly attack people she wants to do things to. Witches in western society are anti-social, going against the norms of society. For women who are already doing other anti-social things like practicing misandry, or being obese and claiming you have a phobia if you don't find her attractive: t's a natural fit.
My definition of being a witch (the good one lol): if you are willing to work on your shadow, then you can be considered as one
"The ‘shadow’ refers to the dark side of our personalities which we repress and overlook. It is the side of us that is wounded with past traumas and impulsive emotions such as envy, greed, rage and desire. Shadow work is the practice of facing those emotions and traumas head on to be able to heal properly and balance your life."
Should be link to psychology
I think a lot of women can relate to the history of witches that's why. a lot of women who are seen as intimidating to others or who decided to be themselves are usually witch hunted because they have a mind of their own. You only have to say something slightly negative about a male on this site to see that for yourself. I think women ar sick and tired of constantly being bashed no matter what they say or do so they find the whole witch find kinda ironic and humorous.
I've got my AHS top of baddest witch in town. And why? well for me i am a goth so kinda goes with it.
But for other's it can be that reason or just for attention, or there one of those nutters who actually believe there a witch and have little to no understanding of the history of Salem and witches on a whole.

Maybe because we are being rebellious, stubborn, Witch is the most evil name for a woman who doesn’t submit to patriarchal power,”in the same way some feminists have reclaimed “s__t or “b__ch,” taking it from a derogatory term meaning “evil” and transforming it into something more positive.
sometimes dont get me wrong Im a witch with a broom since I'm always cleaning the house 🤦and my lazy Cousins dont want to help but I think thats why😅but not all women are witches
Just like male gamers. When you don't have any real skills or power, you play make-believe to feel better about yourself. I could be a pro basketball player, spec ops, fighter pilot, or whatever if I only had to use my thumbs, lol.
It's just powerless people trying to feel powerful
some women believe they are witches to a degree. its a name for a female spell caster so its literally a name made by humans used on humans.
The historical approach to witches in the Western World was accusing “wayward women” of being in cahoots with the devil and supernatural for being proto-feminists and standing up for themselves. These women who were declared witches were frequently tortured and executed for doing such horrific things as having sex outside of marriage, speaking out of turn at church, and *gasp* reading.
Some women wear that legacy as a bad of honor.
I am one.
Finally! I got you 😂
Not at all! Just curious to know more about that story
Probably cause historically women were killed because they were accused of being witches, I’m guessing
Doesn't make any sense with prior history! Why would someone like to repeat worse era?
Exactly! It does doesn't make you witch if you are not practicing witchcraft!
Witch hunting is only in films and dramas it doesn't have any reality Historical tales are just fantasies!
Nowdays as most may know that the trend is "Bad girl/boy" so witch seems one of such negative cool name and girls like to call themselves "Witch".
New age spirituality trend. Been there myself, lol.
Spirituality is totally different than witch crafting!
Being spiritual doesn't mean you start practicing devious acts
Probably the Gothic and people who practice Wiccan like shit like that, I'm spiritual and don't like calling myself a witch lol.
Fairly common and why not really.
i know a couple fairly much into it.
Because they literally are witches. Witches aren't like legit i can use magic. Its just anti God culture of worshiping nature and yourself instead of God.
Maybe they like witches, lol. But its probably the attention factor.
Because they keep trying to resurrect dead subjects.
Cuz maybe some of them practice witchcraft?
Because they are devil worshipers.
They want to be bad girls. Real witches play always good girls.
Actualy they dont they know the related to thier witch ancestors at past by geneticaly
they’re into witchcraft. why do some men call themselves gamers? definitely a tough question.
Ask them. But witches are jealous and insecure looking for validation and attention!
No real ones lol
How because we practice magic
You just generalized and made your statement invalid! There may be a few who are as you said insecure, and some may take comfort in being validated, I read someone talk about being able to relate to the women in the past that were persecuted... Well, I shall have to add that to my list of things to consider.
There are so many reasons that anyone, not just women, decide to find something else to believe and become a part of. It could just be teenage angst and the need to rebel, and that is one way to totally do that. They may have a friend who introduces them to it, and they find it to be accepting of them and to their liking.
I have known some who went into studying the "left-hand path" simply to enact revenge or whatever... they never last long. However, most just become healers and are drawn to it for reasons that are personally unique to them. In the end, they are just regular people, just like everyone else.
It's a PUN on the word BITCH
They're crazy (craz*ier than normal women)?
Witchy stuff is fun
Any other particular reason?
Nope
how big is your broom tho?
Big 😏
hawt!
So it's good way to get attention though
Because they think it's cool.
Because they like them
Wicca
@koolbrz yes. I am. Though I haven’t been to a ceremony in ages.
We both ride brooms
aesthetism
It's a LARP
What's LARP?
LARP
A fancy name for playing pretend.
Pretend:
Kid 1: let's play that I'm a wizard and you're a magic goblin
Kid 2: Ok, pretend I have a wand too! *wooosh!*~
-long, complex game ensues-
LARP:
Adult 1: Hey man, let's LARP! I am the Alchemy Wizard
Adult 2: Ok! We'll be in the realm of Wizardania. I'm the Gnome of Royal Order. I have a fire wand~
-long, complex game ensues-
Witchcraft is stupid
Cuz Witches are cool
Just by outlook 😂
