Girls, would you be offended if your partner asked why you never wear makeup?

I recently asked my girlfriend why she doesn't wear makeup and she took it as an insult. She thinks I think she isn't that attractive which isn't the case at all. I told her I think she's gorgeous and that I was just genuinely curious but I think deep down she thinks I don't mean it. I was really surprised by her reaction because she is a very confident woman. How would you react?

She was laying on top of me and kissing me. She had just gotten home from work and we were talking about going to the store and she said she needed lip balm 'cause the cooler weather was chapping her lips. So I asked if wearing lip stick would help, then I just brought up how I wonder why she never wears makeup.

could be 2 reasons, I don't know her, but, with you Just now asking her that, she could be Wondering why ask now? How did she act?

She looked at me and said, you think I'm ugly, don't you? Of course I said I think she's beautiful and I was just curious but she did keep asking why I would ask if it didn't matter to me. Something triggered her about it because that isn't like her. She still seems a little pissed.

Yeh, my thinking on this, is She's confident, but, Wondering... about Why you would ask it 'now'. I really 'think' it's a lot deeper than the whole makeup thing.. It's best to just talk with her about it.

No I don't think it's an insult, but maybe she thinks it is so tell her you didn't mean it the way she thinks

She’s probably gotten a lot of flack about it from family, friends and so forth throughout her life. Making her defensive about it.

I really hardly ever wear make up honestly. I don’t have time for all that. Time is tissue and money. The world is spinning while we putting up makeup and probably poison to look better for one day. I just said screw it! So I rarely wear it now, hardly ever.
