The funny thing about toxic femininity is that those who invented "toxic masculinity" deny the existence of toxic femininity. So if there is a thing such as "toxic masculinity", then there should be something as toxic femininity. You can't have one without the other. This is nothing but a buzzterm used by feminist to patronize men. But don't even dare to claim that toxic femininity exists! WW3 will start if you do.

Let's break this down with a simple examples:

1. Stoicism and not showing emotions is seen as "toxically masculine", yet when a man shows emotions and chooses to be vulnerable, it almost always is used against him or always risks turning a woman off. As in general, women do not want a man who is in his feelings, but rather is hard as a rock. So no shit that men choose not to show emotions when society throws it back at their face.
So can't we say that toxic femininity is what contributes to the outcome of men supressing their emotions? How is that not toxically feminine if women don't desire a man who doesn't surpress his emotions?

2. Slut shaming is something women are NOTORIOUS for doing to each other. Or not necessarily slut-shaming, but sabotaging one's reputation which is a typical female thing to do. While men resort to fists, women resort to ruining the reputation and excluding women socially (ostracization). So aren't those examples toxically feminine?

And when it comes to toxic masculinity. Andrew Tate has exposed how flawed that term alone is. "Toxic masculinity is invented by women nobody wants to fuck, to describe the men they do want to fuck".

Rather than attributing toxic behavior to either masculinity or femininity, why not attribute those toxic behaviors to just a person? We have shitty persons regardless if they are men or women.

So if manspreading is toxically masculine, what does that make the women who spread their legs in public (transport)? Toxically feminine? No? Jeez. What about when a dude catcalls a woman, he is being "toxically masculine", but when women on TV, social media or in real life sexually harass a man verbally or physically, isn't that toxic femininity? Not according to your typical modern feminist. See how flawed these labels are? Because they weren't invented in good grace. They were invented to patronize an entire gender.

Starting off with the creation of "toxic masculinity", and then they realized they shot themselves in the foot because they indirectly also created of "toxic femininity". And since then they are desperately trying to damage control and claim toxic femininity not existing.

Yes, for both masculine and feminine toxicity is when people pretend to act a certain way that causes toxic behaviors and environments because they were convinced this is the only way to be masculine and feminine.

If you are naturally masculine or feminine then it's all good, but a lot of people really are toxic af and it's because they think they have to act like this to be their gender
