Girls, Why do girls smile and wave at guys they don't know?

Just interested to know what drives a girl to do that. As this happened to me the other day.

It could be that they mistaken you for someone else. However, sometimes girls just randomly like to acknowledge strangers passing by either because that’s how they were raised or maybe she thought you were attractive and wanted your attention.

No she knew who I was. As I regularly go there to get my coffee. But she doesn't really know me, but this wave and smile seemed so natural and nice. The other waitresses there don't treat me the same way she does. She even giggled when I asked how she was

Oh I see. Well some people are naturally really social, as it seems in her case. If you’re interested in her then just keep paying attention to her gestures and if they seem more than just “nice” then you have an answer.

Plus she giggled when I gave her my loyalty card. She even started laughing the moment I kicked something in the cafe. So I knew she was looking at me. We then just started chatting a little. She even has taken note where I work as she said to me " you work at (company name) right?". I only wore my work shirt on the very odd occasion. So I know she has taken some note of it

I just feel there is something special there as she initiated and smile and wave the moment we locked eyes. She doesn't wave to other customers
