It`s a quick way to show you like a girl and you can see if the feeling is mutual by her reaction, does she smile then go to her and engage a conversation, does she abruptly look away or look confused then she may not like you or she`s shy.

Couple months ago, a girl I liked winked at me, supposedly insinuating that she either wanted sex or liked me. She got married 3 months later, just be careful
