Does physique matter?

In my personal experience, I've seen that girls tend to get more attracted to fitter boys but when asked they tell that physique doesn't matter when it quite definitely can be seen from their actions

Looks and the physique have nothing to do with finding the right person. There are plenty of boys and girls that place much more importance on other qualities.

I would go anytime with a person that has a number of physical disadvantages but has a generous heart, an intellect that allows for deep, meaningful and sensible conversations and a personality that stands out of the crowd rather than with a guy that is obsessed with his physical appearance, the size of his penile appendage or his height.

What counts in life is what is inside this shell.

Inner beauty stays as long as the person lives while the outer shell is fading away with time and is just the shadow of what it was once.

I usually don’t care but I work hard to keep my body in shape, so I would like if my partner did too. I don’t mind a little chub in the stomach or if the muscles aren’t well defined, I think as long as they aren’t overweight or anorexic, I’m okay with that lol.

When we say it doesn't matter, we usually mean it isn't a primary factor. I'll take a great personality and a sense of humor over looks for example. That doesn't mean looks are completely negligible though. There are also girls who just prefer good looks to anything else.

Of course it matters me for friendship too. If someone is overweight (5-10 kgs extra) it is understandable but if more than that then it simply tells that the person is lazy. Ok if they are working on losing weight then I won't mind. It is for health also.

Who we each match with on a mental level is really who we live with. Outward appearance also reflects the mind. People tend to let themselves go when they care less. Not caring is not attractive. Who wants to be with someone who doesn’t care anymore?

Example: I’m 5’8 and if I see a pretty smile or pretty eyes on a guy whether he’s short tall chubby skinny or toned I WILL be crushing that whole day lol you probably wouldn’t leave my mind unless I get distracted by doing something.

Personally, I look at the personality first but of course the physique matters as well. I don't like people with a lot of muscles because that's a bit intimidating but a little comes a long way. It also means that they care and want to stay healthy.
