In general, yes that does seem to be the status quo. All relationships have some level of dominance and submission, so it's easy to take it for granted. Strait adult men seem to gravitate towards women who are more agreeable socially. Which makes sense, in general males and females like what they don't have or don't experience much of. Women tend to not be thrill seekers by nature so getting on the back of his motorcycle is pretty exciting! On the other side of the coin, men tend to not share feelings so when she asks how you feel it's quite comforting. Creating relationships between males and females seems to be getting more difficult as time goes by, I think we can all agree on that. What is in question is the reason or reasons why? Reality is often full of ugly truths, but refusing to acknowledge them makes it worse. Perhaps that's just the animal we humans are. Maybe most men aren't intimidated by alpha women, it seems like they just don't find them attractive. The balance between how much each side's likes are met is off. What women are attracted to is very much on the forefront of most things. What men are attracted to seems to be of no interest to anyone. Once the balance is reestablished people should be much happier.
