I lied about my name.

I met this guy, and to be honest I do not know why I did it, but I lied about what my name is. My name is not fairly common, and I didn't expect anything to come from me and him. Boy. Was. I. Wrong. We started texting, and we really hit it off. I really like him, but I'm afraid what his reaction will be when I say that the name he knows isn't mine because he actually said "i really love your name :)" and I was like ay carumba :/. Anyway, I also said I was a year older than I was too (again, expecting nothing would happen between us) but I cleared it up. I just need help on what should I do? And what sort of reaction should I expect? We've been talking for three days.

I would play it off as a joke, saying "My friends and I pick out new names every night before we go out somewhere, It like a game, What name would you pick blah blah blah"

Another thing you could do is tell him that your name is (blank) and that you used a fake name because you didn't think someone as laid-back and awesome as him would be at (said location you met) and you were worried about weirdos. That boosts his ego and guys always respond to tht hahaha.

not sure about the age thing but as for the name just tell him it was a nickname?

could tell him you find your actual name embarassing or when you go out with friends you sue fake names since your friend ended up with a stalker once or just maybe save your ass later and tell him the truth, truth usally the best option
