I had this fake friend for about 6 years. she would do horrible stuff like get me to befriend her friends knowing they didn’t like me. and they would all (she would to) make fun of me in a group chat when i’d be with them. she’d share my secrets and more. i knew she was bad but i didn’t have any friends so i kept her around, which was my mistake. anyway, when i had a crush on the guy during freshman year, she was the main one who knew. but she tells me that she was talking to him romantically, which didn’t I really didn’t mind because how would she know that was him. Even though I’m pretty sure I showed her? But the way she would act when she found out it was him. For example, she’d call me specifically to rant about him in a good way. Which she would never do about anyone. Nor would she call me. Then if she texted me something about him and i didn’t answer, she’d say “oh (his name) said hi”. which would be false since you only say hi to people if that person was already talking/texting them. me and her weren’t so she was either lying or talking about me. I also noticed how she “dated” him for a week when normally she’d date someone for 2 days. But she ended up leaving him for his friend. Anyway, I stopped talking to her for a bit. And she tried to get me to tell her about my love life so she could get info. She stood at my table for 30 minutes even when i wasn’t talking, and mentioning people from years ago. I finally cut her completely out and she switched classes so she’s in my class now. She doesn’t talk to me but it’s strange.

I feel like this girl might have been jealous of you for something and teenage girls are usually mostly jealous of other girls appearance, perhaps she felt insecure about herself and saw you as flawless, making you feel like shit and going for the guy you like made her feel better about herself the fact that she seemed to be targeting you makes it seem like this is the reason, she's such a bitch, just don't talk to her, and keep who you like to yourself so you can prevent her from trying to ruin that for you

Yeah I was sorta thinking maybe it’s a jealousy thing? But it’s a little odd since she’s the one who guys like, has a lot of friends, popularity, and more. When I’m the complete opposite. Yeah i’m definitely not gonna talk to her ever again 🏃‍♀️ Thank you so much omg

Thing is that this happens, they can have everything but it's something that you have that she doesn't have that kills her inside, perhaps its even the fact that you might be beautiful but don't need to prove it to anyone, you don't need popularity, you don't gotta dress to impress, you are simply you and it seems like that might bug her, or who knows, maybe it's a grudge of something you did unintentionally that she took to heart, it can be many reasons but if you avoid her, and don't tell anyone anything, then you'll be fine, after all saying nothing is easy lol

She sounds insecure, and competitive. I don’t wanna be that type of person lol, but when you’re a teenager, everything is about status to some people. They want to be popular, they want to be liked. Was she given enough attention as a kid? Because seriously, the way were raised, comes out in us through the teenage years & onward.


She doesn’t sound like a person that’s good for you to be around. I would say to end the friendship, because you do not deserve to be treated this way. All it takes is a simple question asked to them, such as: “imagine yourself in my situation, how would you feel?”, for them to use their brain and think of their actions.


Go out there and find better friends, who will cherish you for you, and not feel the need to bring you down!

My first thought is that she's insecure. If she needs to go out of her way to have a group of people make fun of you b yeah that's jealousy. My mother always told me of someone teasing you it's usually because the person is suffering in some way and most of the time she was right

There are people out there who just aren't happy unless they are causing drama and chaos in other's lives. They are immature, and most likely don't have anything going on in their own life, so they have to interfere with others just to make themself happy. The best thing to do is to keep a permanent distance from her to involve future situations. Some grow out of it and others don't. And there is really no telling the ones who do from the ones who don't. They can put on a Saint act pretending they do, but there is no way to really prove it. Just do what you have to to protect yourself and move on with life.
