Does she just enjoy talking to me?

I asked a while ago about if I misread things with this girl at an ice cream store. She would always talk to me about music and podcasts cause I started a conversation the first time I saw her. I went in a few times, she was excited to see me and we'd talk a bit. Even to where her coworker would give her a funny look.
Last time I went there, I mentioned I had been moving and she was concerned I was moving out of state, but she said she was happy I was staying local. So before I left I asked if I could give her my number for the podcasts 😉

She said she had a boyfriend. So I was apologetic and left.

It's been a few weeks, and I saw her today. She wasn't as warm as first but we still talked, she asked what kind of schedule do I work, how my day was going and she told me about hers. When I was paying with her, I apologized for the last time, and she was very sweet and said it was all good and I left. I said I did enjoy talking to her as I turned to leave.

But I was really confused, I figured there was flirting and possibly an attraction because how she was worried I wasn't gonna come by.

Even though she has a boyfriend, does she maybe like me in some way? Or just enjoying talking to me?

Honestly it just sounds like a very sweet girl making small, friendly talk with a regular customer, and I don’t say that in a rude or “in your dreams” sort of way. I think people are so accustomed to rudeness, or flat personalities and people who don’t go the extra mile to be kind. So when you encounter that wholesome, bubbly personality it probably is confusing and it draws you in because it can be mistaken for flirting. But you had the wrong idea, and I think she was making that a bit more clear the next time she saw you, even though she was still nice and talkative but that’s her with her work face on towards a customer.

But I had only been in twice before she was wondering where I was moving to. That to me made it seem more like flirting or whatever.

When I see someone for a third time, even a second time I’m going to remember their face. Especially at work, I feel like it means a lot to customers to be welcomed and recognized, as I also work in retail. But that’s just people skills dude. I went to Starbucks this morning, the dude asked all sorts of questions while my order got made. How’s my day, where do I got for school, do I like it there, do I live around here, how’s the commute, so on and so forth.

If you do dispute this and don’t want to hear that she wasn’t flirting, I think you are disappointed about that and my question would be why? She’s unavailable, your interactions can’t go further than they do, so why give this so much thought?

I'm just trying to understand so I don't misread it in the future. I honestly didn't even want to go back cause I was so embarrassed

Maybe in the future it’ll just be better in general not to hit on a woman who’s at work. What happened to you could’ve happened anywhere and with anyone, the only difference is that approaching a woman in, let’s say the bar, will less likely be her having her social face on for work. Her kindness, all the questions and stuff, it’s just small talk and making the person feel good about their experience. But in a social setting where the woman is off the clock, you can approach without having to question it too much bc you know she’s not working.
