What could usually indicate that somebody is hiding something from you or scared to confess something?

I don’t mean hiding something by hiding a physical thing, but hiding something in terms of something they did to you behind your back and shouldn’t have, and are thinking of telling you. But are scared to confess or tell you directly?

Oh okay and if it’s not randomly? But it’s the subject of our conversation at that moment? Like they never ask outside of that or at random times, only when we’re specifically talking about that or the subject is specifically about things people would do that would make me leave them and they just ask out of curiosity kind of like “oh even if it’s because of that or not done out of intent?” Etc

Space, acting weird over social media or their cell phone. Suddenly giving you less attention, or acting anxious/weird in general around you.

Oh okay interesting thanks! I was wondering if them asking you the same type of question more than once for example “If i did this or if this would happen, what would you do?” Or for example if I say “If you would ever do this our friendship or relationship is done” and they respond with “Even if it’s in this situation or if it’s because of this” etc.. like does that mean they’ve already done it but wouldn’t wanna say?

Or would that mean that maybe they’re scared it might happen and they wanna see and be sure what you would do if that were to happen? Or would you say they most likely already have?

Yeah You’re right, not good to be paranoid, it’s just difficult to ask because people wil immediately jump to saying “oh you don’t trust me obviously “ when you would ask them anything like “if there’s anything you have to tell me you can openly tell me don’t worry” or anything like that, i’m thinking of saying that but also them speaking about things that have to do with the conversation at the moment can't always mean they’ve already done it. But this person basically kind of defended a fact that i said woulf make me walk away from a relationship. And they kind of gave excuses for it like why it’s not always done out of bad intentions or purposely etc, and i thought the defending of it and excuses as to why people shouldn’t leave over it or understand that more made me think that they’ve already done it, but maybe i’m overthinking it

Oh sorry didn’t know it wasn’t specific. I basically meant like what body language a person would show around you if they probably did something behind your back they shouldn’t have, and are thinking about it while being around you and are scared to say it or confess or something like that. Like how to notice something isn’t quite right i guess with their body language

I don’t actually know what they would be guilty of, but I think maybe something like infidelity or either breaking loyalty towards me basically, i’m not sure though that’s why i asked that question of what body language they would show or how they would act/ or what they would talk about etc.. stuff like that, like indicators of it

Only when they’re trying to hide it from you, in that sense basically. When they don’t want you to know or don’t want to tell you and subtle signs you can see that or indicate that they did that and are trying to hide it
