Why are women so willing to take care of men?

I can't shake the feeling that a woman cooking for me, offering to do my laundry, and whatever else is something done because she wants leverage over him.

Its usually reinforced by our mothers, grandmothers, etc who were taught to be nurturing, but we’re also nurturing by instinct. So, it’s just how a lot of women grew up and by nature.


What leverage? Why would we need leverage over men? And how does being nurturing of a guy give someone leverage over someone?

I do it because I love to take care of my person. It's how I show love. But since I don't have a person I bought myself a rabbit and plants. 🤷🏽‍♀️
