Why do men hate feminism yet everytime a woman complains about being hurt by a man we are urged to have the skill set to “know better”?

Men hate feminism yet whenever a woman complains that a man hurt her she gets shamed for not knowing how to exist in a world where men are expected to prey on women. Suddenly the argument to “pick better men” is thrown out as a device to silence her. Whenever a woman speaks out to rebut that men should be better (which actually may empower men as it’s meant to help them improve their morality and character) many men get defensive and even argue that women don’t deserve better because we ourselves are not good enough to be treated well in the first place for one reason or another. Or it’s argued that if a woman was deserving of a good man she would attract one. So when women decide to raise the standard of the men they will allow to be with them in order to make an attempt to pick the better men, it’s argued that we are basing a man’s worth on how he benefits us and not on his value as a person. Its argued that we are gold diggers or that we want security or status or some other superficial reason. And even though men are often excused for wanting women for superficial reasons like her looks, body, or her service/submissive to men, it becomes an issue -yet again- in the woman’s choices. Men literally push, urge and even encourage women to have feminist ideals And then shame us for it.

I think some of these men think all character flaws in men are obvious, they think of women are hurt by men it's because they chose a "bad man". I've been with men who seemed nice and after a while, I realized they were not, just as I'm sure men have experienced that with women as well. I think though it's hard for both sides to relate so it seems like it should be easy for others to spot the red flags and that they "should have known better" than to admit that some people are incredibly devious and can fool even the most cautious men or women. Then there are some men who just really dislike women, some have more valid reasons than others but apparently they are determined not to trust any women or even be in a serious relationship with one. There are some women who are the same towards men. I didn't realize how serious this gender divide was until I joined gag.

I think this explanation is spot on. It’s easy to forget everyone has their own lived experiences and while a guy could probably spot an player a mile away, would probably easily be taken advantage of by a woman.

There are a lot of people hurt and a lot of people watching others get hurt and self-sabotaging themselves.

@DarkWinterNights people just aren't being gentle to others. Everyone isn't smart the way you are or has the same knowledge... Instead of gentle guiding or comforting the broken women who are with bad men... we hit them over the head. Im at fault for this not just with women but men and just people in general. Online its easy to quickly type whatever mad words come to your head.

No logic to misogynists. We as women do need to stop believing the lies that make us feel good and need to act wisely. I know many are not taught how to and are encouraged to do the exact opposite. But it doesn't chang the fact that we need to as soon as possible turn around and get back on track.

For literally everything you have said here about things men do or challenges women face, the genders could be flipped and it would be equally true for the other gender, just in slightly different ways.

All you've done is take your failures with the opposite sex and use them to justify feminism in the same way MGTOWs and Incels use their failures with the opposite sex to justify their own movements.
