Well I think the problem is that whatever the definition and meaning that feminism was supposed to do, it has done, but now it is not being used for the same purpose and has evolved into something more radical and hateful towards the male species by certain feminism leaders. Also, some of the ideals within the ideology of feminism, do not work or are not needed in certain societies, because of the changes in law that have benefited women's rights, especially in North America and Europe and most developed countries. The only places that feminism would benefit most would be some middle eastern countries and places that devalue the female species to be subordinate to the male species.
Example, if any employer in a developed country, were to fire a woman based on her gender or to not pay her the equal amount as her male counterparts based on level of education and job experience, the courts and media would have a field day with them and they would probably be shut down or be on strict probationary observation by the Workers Compensation Board of whatever sort, or that boss would be fired. Either way, there are protective measures in our laws now that support and encourage the equality of women with men in all sectors I would think. So the real problem is some employers or male leaders or the social attitude may need some more tweaking. But, even then, some of the radical feminists are doing a great disservice to the ideal that "Feminism" is for the equality of rights and privileges between man and woman, since they tend to degrade or lessen the value of the very side they want to equate to. They take it way too far to one side and overbalance the slope again toward a woman's favour, which then you can call feminism the female form of misogyny.
It's all in the presentation and keeping the focus on what is needed. The same goes with the issue of racial equality. Us blacks and other races do have a lot more benefits and support, even legally, nowadays compared to 50 years ago or so. We also are more accepted and inclusive within the Caucasian communities. However, there is still that underlying racist feel, even if it's somewhat limited. This recent election didn't do it any favours either and the shit about the media storm of the police force seeming to be not so trust worthy in the eyes of us, because of serious incidents, it just sent our society back almost those 50 years, in feel really. But there is still support for blacks.

I consider myself a feminist however even I really dont like feminists that much. The problem is that there is a very vocal minority of feminists who are just horrible. Yes, many of them say what you have said, but some feminists have also...
1. Protested outside conferences discussing male suicide rates
2. Proposed legislation in Isreal and India that would make it so men legally can not be victims of rape.
3. Proposed that all men (no matter how poor) be forced to pay a tax based on their gender.
And lastly, just said things that if you were to replace with the word muslim or black would be hate speach. For example, the person who founded the Swedish feminist party said 'All women who have sex with men are traitors to their gender'. Also there was a tweet (actually posted by a troll) that said we should get rid of fathers day because men are useless parents. Hundreds of feminists retweeted this.
So I agree, feminism isn't that bad, but there is so many toxic feminists out there that I can understand why.
Because feminism is not about equality. Not anymore.
It's like saying the KKK is all for equality of the races, but we all know that's not true.
Feminism these days is telling a man that it's okay to cry while calling him a rapist in the same sentence just because he breathed in your direction.
Feminism these days is acting like a trashy individual "because I can" while calling a man a pedophile or perverted if he acted or dressed in any way similar to that same woman who claims to be a feminist.
Feminism is saying male rape is rare and we shouldn't be concerned about it because it doesn't happen often compared to women (when really, it happens a lot, it's just rarely reported due to embarrassment).
Feminism is saying you want equality while only focusing on female issues.
Basically, feminism is like an ex girlfriend or boyfriend. Massive hypocrite, abusive, manipulating and neglectful while claiming they still love you.
I want equality as well, but I don't want feminism.
Sorry to break it to you but a lot women seem to jump on feminism and use it to bully men into a corner when they don't get their way. Now a days feminism seems to be about being the better sex and not equaling the sexes anymore even though that's what they are constantly saying. Now there are some butt hurt dudes out there who have a terrible past/not much luck with women and like scoop all of us up and throw us in the feminazi pool because they anger about not getting any female attention.
They can't deal with women having as much power as they do, let alone more. That's why they tried to make women 2nd class citizens in the first place. Females are born with power that men can never have.

Because feminism is not what it use to be. It has completely strayed from it’s original goals. When feminism was not called feminism, it wasn’t about making it “males vs females”, nowadays that’s what it has become. Feminism today which is known as third wave feminism has adopted a misandrist ideology and are actively trying to destroy masculinity, It views men as second class citizens and neglects men.
It’s not just men who disagree with third wave feminism, a lot of women are starting to oppose feminism as well. A lot of people prefer Egalitarianism which actually believes in equality over third wave feminism which focuses on gynocentrism.Because feminism does not mean equal rights. Pretty much everyone is on board with equal rights. That battle is basically already won. There's not much for "real" feminism to do anymore.
Overwhelming evidence suggests that feminism, in its current state, is more about cultural Marxism (not to mention actual Marxism) and denigration of men. And no, I'm not equating equal treatment with hurting men, I'm taking about labeling masculinity as "toxic," villifying natural heterosexual attraction from males, and proactively suppressing due process in justice in cases where men are accused of sex crimes.
I think most people agree on what's bad and what's good. Women and men having the freedom to pursue the life they want: good. Men being tried and convicted of rape without due process: bad.
The trick that's been played is that people have been convinced that feminism is just the good part, and the bad part isn't "real" feminism, and vice versa. And that's where all the conflict comes from, in my opinion.Feminism at its core is about equality of men and women, not “sameness.” So many people offer up the argument that women are not the “same” as men so there can’t be equality. In other words, because their bodies are different (many say “weaker” and smaller), and because men and women have different physical capabilities, these physical differences mean equality is not possible.
The issue here is about equal rights and equal access to opportunities. Men and women don’t have to be the “same” in physicality to have the right to equality. I’d love to see that argument (that women and men aren’t the “same” so they can’t be equal) disappear forever. From my view, it’s a misguided one.
I believe there are five critical reasons behind this:
1. Feminism has been associated with strong, forceful and angry women, and our society continues to punishes forceful women.
2. Many people fear that feminism will mean that men will eventually lose out – of power, influence, impact, authority, and control, and economic opportunities.
3. Many people believe that feminists want to control the world and put men down.
4. Many people fear that feminism will overturn time-honored traditions, religious beliefs and established gender roles, and that feels scary and wrong.
5. Many people fear that feminism will bring about negative shifts in relationships, marriage, society, culture, power and authority dynamics, and in business, job and economic opportunities if and when women are on an equal footing with men.

In this case My interpretation.
👍=👍
👎=👍Feminism doesn't "allow" people to do any of that. As if people need feminism's permission to do it.
"definition"
Who cares what the definition is? I'm sure the Nazis billed themselves as building a better future for Germany, only in a perverted sense is that true. It's the same for feminism.
"okay to cry"
Not really. There's nowhere they can cry now that they could cry before. Being encouraged to cry and not be macho, didn't really help anyone.
"able to work"
I'm hesitant to credit feminism with this since it takes credit for so many things it didn't do. But even if we say it did do this, why should I care about it now? It doesn't mean what feminism does forever after is benevolent.
"two income household"
You could always have to incomes in a household.
"men to stay home"
How so? Have you actually thought about it and wondered what has actually changed to make that true? Very little.
"benefits men just as much as it does women"
I would ask why it's no revered when overall it harms men *and* women. It earned the public's disdain.Because every person I've ever met who has been a feminist has been someone who advocated only for getting more rights to women without any of the responsibilities or even directly the oppression of men. Yes, feminists of the past have driven through major reforms that I agree with, but the feminists we have now, at least the ones who seem to be making the news and those I personally have spoken with are nothing more than rapid manhaters and hypocritical scum. So no, I don't hate the movement of "feminism", nor those who advocate for it, I simply oppose what I see as injustice, which simply happens to be what those who advocate under the movement of "feminism" want to enforce.
Well, it seems like every feminist has their own unique definition of what actually constitutes feminism. They craft their own definition to match their best interest at the time.
I personally can't stand feminist. Men and women are very different from each other on a biological level, and for that reason, we will never be identical to each other when considering our societal roles.
Feminism was respect during the Susan B Anthony days and the suffrage movement. This is when women were actually repressed and didn't have the same rights and opportunities as men. Today, a woman has every opportunity a man has considering she lives in the US or a developed country.
So if women aren't oppressed, then what else is left on the feminist agenda? Entitlements and handouts which I don't stand for. I stand for equality and that's why I'm absolutely against third-wave feminism. It isn't so much the definition of feminism that's the issue. It's that the modern wave of feminism is trying to fight inequality where none exists. Also, attempting to say that the majority of modern feminists are fighting for men is just incorrect. Any attempt to have a men's rights conference to discuss the higher rate of suicide, workplace deaths, or unequal divorce settlements is instantly met with vigorous opposition from several self-labeled "feminists." When this type of thing happens at every occasion, in every location, via any medium through which men attempt to have these conversations, you can understand how the word starts to get a negative connotation.
Modern feminism (third wave) is the product of radical left activists and post-modernists. These are the same people who type "Science doesn't exist" while siitting in a plane with their laptops.
So you can imagine that these people can twist every ideological concept to its absolute extreme. And then we can talk about how much they love to be victimized. And victimisation often leads to oppression and aggression from those who claim to be victims.
So then these people go and get a hold of the very good idea of feminism and distort it to use it as a tool against the patriarchy or whatever social structure they deem unjust and lacking of equality. And good luck with them ever achieving equality. Because there is always something more to equalise.Feminism has a long history of saying one thing and doing another. It says its for equality, then fights against equal treatment, it says it wants to help men then creates one sided laws and systems that at best marginalize at worse actually harm men. It fights to keep any real equality from happening by focusing only on how society treats women without balancing those actions against what men experience. It feels that it is a given that women always are the underdog without any form of measurement of where the balance actually rests. It feels fine demeaning and undercutting men then wonders why men feel demeaned and unappreciated. In short feminism is simply too one sided to see the harm that it has done.
Because feminists say that "all men are animals" "all men are rapists" "all men are pigs" and expect us to want to help them, why would I help someone that hates me and wants to subjugate me?
They are so fucking hypocritical, they generalise all WHITE, STRAIGHT MALES as evil and often say shit like "i can't wait for the white race to die" then unironically say that the white race isn't dying, they generalise white, straight males as rapists then when a Muslim bombs their whole family they shout down generalisations and act all high and mighty with the "#NotAllMuslims" then go back to demonising White people as evil, most of these feminists are self-hating Whites which is utterly disgusting and revolting, anyone, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian ANYTHING who self-hates themself is utterly pathetic, and any white person who advocates the death of the White race should start with themselvesFeminism has freed men and I am grateful, times have changed for the better.
www.avoiceformen.com/.../Because feminism stopped being about equality and started becoming a breeding ground for radical social marxists. If you want a good intro into just some of the problems of modern feminism and how it hurts me, watch the documentary The Red Pill, a great educational tool.
The tactics feminism uses.
It exploits men, inaccurately at that, to be beasts or monsters.
Why are women going naked in the street to protest sexaulization of women?
You don't need feminism to say women matter.
Women need to just speak up.
Everyone should stand up for themselves.Because the benefits of feminism for us are rarely felt, especially now that modern feminism has drifted so far from where it started. Modern Feminists regularly abuse men and tell us to stop “mansplaining” when we show the emotions that we’re supposed to have. Feminism may look great on paper, but the real world implication of third wave feminism has been almost universally bad.
You can preach all you want about the dictionary definition of feminism but it doesn't change the fact that the feminist movement has nothing to do with equality.
All feminism and feminists do is bash men and bash everything we do or like, there is a war on masculinity, feminists want men to be effeminate cucks.
Feminists don't want equality they want special treatment, they want to be treated better than men not equally to menBecause it's fucking hypocritical as shit. I've never met a feminist that made a salient, cogent, internally-coherent argument. ADD TO THAT that none of the feminists I've ever got into a heated argument with even knew who Butler, De Beauvoir, Woolf, Steinem or Freidan even ARE much less about their fetid shitheap works.
It's fucking stupid, that's why I hate it.Because most self-identifying feminists I've met are controlling and quick to jump down your throat about the smallest things. Nowadays women are equal but the self-identifying feminists really come across as they don't want to be equals they want to be superior.
It's not feminism really, its new third-wave feminism. First wave & third wave are not the same.
Feminazism is the more appropriate term nowadays. I don't hate what feminism WAS, in fact, I'd have supported it with both hands.
It wasn't about some petty "men vs women" bs. It had meaningful goals, but nowadays you'll see only about selective equality and how women are being "opressed" and their rights violated and.. blah blah blah. The most annoying thing about it: women are being compared (underline that word) to men. Like wtf is that?it isn't about equal right... but there is a difference between men and women, women should embrace that, men do have stronger muscles but can't be a wet nurse.. woman are beuatiful and grat and have stills men can not master an vice versa. we just need to accept and treat each other with respect..(i can go on why woman should just embrace being women... evilgrin)
