If a girl doesn't ask questions to know more about you, does it mean that she is not interested?

Whether the girl is shy, casual, or extroverted, I always noticed that if a girl is interested in you, she would ask questions to know more about you, especially if the both of you are alone together.

The only exception to this is if her questions are meant to tease/make fun of you instead (especially in group settings) and she is too comfortable being herself even when it's just the two of you.

Interested Question examples:

• "Why do you..."
• "How come you prefer..."
• "Would you say that you are a [description] person?" Then goes on to ask even more questions about you.

It could mean that she's not as interested. But that's not the only interpretation, she could be extremely shy. Is it online or irl conversation?

Both. Although she is only confident in talking to me only when an outspoken individual (regardless whether it's male or female) is present in the group.

I can sort of understand this since I do that too sometimes, where I unintentionallly use an outspoken person to initiate the conversation and then carry on from there. Directly talking to the person when it's really quiet can put all the attention on me, at least that's how I feel
