I think women should have optional period days - I know a lot of women have incredibly painful periods to the point they throw up and so on.

I don’t get mine anymore because I take the pill every day, but when I did have it then it was super heavy mostly, so I would feel a lot more comfortable working from home or something. I would probably choose to stay at work as mine weren’t incredibly painful and I could manage it. But there was one time where it was like…. excruciating pain for 2 days and I couldn’t move at all or leave my bed etc and it made my feel nauseous.

It’s a real issue for women, so yes like I said at the beginning I think women should have a set number of optional period days per month that they can choose to take or can choose to work

You know. I get a lot of women ask me how it is that I managed to become the shift manager of a machine shop. Since it is a male dominant field. Literally I am one of 4 women that work on the production side of things. Hard work and determination was one... not calling off for period is another. Hell when I got pregnant I worked virtually right up until I popped both times. Not because I had to but because I was trying to advance in this company and stay competitive with my peers... who unfortunately do not bleed once a month and squeeze babies from between thier legs

Not holiday, but work at home can be applied.

When the industry is trying to make the periods time as comfortable as possible with all the innovations, people expect women to work as men do.

But since the internal pain cannot be expressed, work from home is the optimal solution.

I would say, 4 wfh days in a month.

Depends on your work, sometimes it's possible to take randoms days off, in that case you can definitely choose to use your holidays or to not get paid. Some jobs require consistency and can't allow this, think surgeon and truck driver. Gotta keep em alive, can't just leave the container on the side of the road.

No why should we? If it's so bad that you can't work, go on sick leave. That happens to me 2-3 times a year. But on other days it can be no problem and not every person is affected the same. It also depends on your job. Giving that many extra days even though they might not be needed is unjustified and only makes me less attractive to employers

No. They will just use it as another excuse to complain that they don't make as much as men even when they aren't working.  Use your sick days just like men do when they have problems.

In theory it's good. But it would have some bad consequenses like: someone else would have to work to balance it. The amount of work to be done would still be the same.
