I can’t understand girls?

There is one girl in my gym. She always look at me, one day I saw her staring hard lol. I talk to her, she laugh, it looks pretty good, them nothing happened, I try to talk again, she respond, smiling, looks happy but don’t engage and I let it go. I compliment her, but it looks like a one side thing ( she does reply) I gave her space and she start to avoid me. I did nothing, even avoid her too. Till one day I say” ok f it, I like the girl if she reject that’s it”. I go talk to her and I never saw anyone look so happy to talk to me. Really it made my year seeing how happy she was. Maybe I like her smile too much at this point. Any way, next day she says hello for the first time, and after that everything goes to zero again, even I trying to talk and etc. she just goes from cold to hot to cold. One thing o realize is that she does start a approach almost everyday, but stop herself. The problem is when I talk to her after seeing it she don’t engage or say anything that I don’t ask.

Is it entirely possible she never had a romantic interest and was being friendly? It could be that was the case and now she is more focused on the reason she is there... working out.

She may have been new and just trying to be friendly to the other members. Just because a girl talks or smiles at you doesn't mean she wants to date. Are we not allowed to be friendly?

I would just move on. Most girls at the gym don't want to be hit on. I don't. I am there to get a workout in and go home. Having guys try to interrupt my workout or leer at me from across the gym is irritating at best.

If you are looking to meet girls, why not join an activity club or group in your area that you find interesting. There, you will meet likeminded people. Girls there will already have a common interest and easier to approach because of it.

That makes a ton of sense.. I too dislike being interrupted during my work out, BUT the fact she stared at him for a long time? Surely she would of expected him to come and talk to her following that?

She’s not new, I was the new guy. And I never interrupt her workout. That she was interest I was a little obvious, I saw her really staring a couple times, even pretending to do something just to look at me. She is not good a pretending I guess, because was too clear.

Ok, well you would know better than I. Naturally, I wasn't there so I am just guessing at possibilities as to why. We can do that all day. I think the point is, she is clearly not interested (even if once was) and to move on.

She is indeed shy, it I can tell, she never talk with anyone, or even look at people for what I saw, never. I thinking in for the moment just focus on myself, improve and etc, when we see each other say hello, hey… and if she ever engage or start something I go with with maybe call her out if looks alright, like tommy said, talk about music (I know she plays instruments and I do it too)

That sounds like a good icebreaker if you have something like that in common. If she is shy, she might be tougher to crack. Maybe if you can strike up a convo about something like music, it will give you the opening to suggest something casual outside the gym.

Maybe something like after workout get cleaned up and meet for a coffee or something very simple. If she agrees, that tells you a lot. Plus, it gives you a chance for one on one in a more suitable environment.

All I did was react to the asker's information as he replied, nothing more. To get so triggered is pretty ridiculous considering you made one comment on my opinion and nothing to what I said after.
